  We have stayed at Faik Pasha for two nights. This hotel is an excellent option in İstanbul. We chose this hotel due to the Taksim square protests. It is very close to İstiklal Street but it is located in very secure region of Taksim. The room was very well appointed, real boutique hotel style. This is a great place to stay if you need easy access... what people say » to the subway, museums and shopping centers. The stuff is very professional and eager to help. In summary, everything is excellent. - Great location. Easy to move from there to visit the city and rich of bar pub cafe and nightlife. Nearby Karakoy a dinamic district with many lovely restaurant and the great istanbul modern, a museum you might see. The hotel is in an historic building but it is fully renovated and the result is a mix of historic perspective and contemporary taste. Everyone is very nice and gentle . Perfect for couple

  The history: Agatha Christie wrote her [Murder on the Orient Express] at this hotel. There is a small exhibition area on the fourth floor about this and other historic moments. The elevator from 1895 can still run (though not always in use). They sell postcards and other souvenirs about the hotel at the front desk. Really a piece of history! The Breakfast - A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!

  Wonderful staff! Very helpful and friendly. It was like staying withfamily. Bıg breakfast selection and dıfferent home made pastry every day.It is easy to skip lunch. Lower price rooms are small but well decoratedand quite clean. More expensive rooms are spacious and airy and have a view ofthe sea. (At present,they also have noise of the train belo... what people say » w,but thetrain stops @ 1am) Quıet front rooms. - amazing view over the marmara sea from the breakfast terrace - which is covered so we enjoyed the view even on rainy days. the atmosphere is very comfortable as the feeling of a family hotel runs throughout the place.

  From the moment we arrived the time we spent in this hotel was wonderful. The staff were extremely attentive, room was excellent, food was good. A safe, quiet and noiseless place, outskirts of the old part of Isrtanbul, close to sea embankment and fish market (2-3 minutes), next to Armenian church and patriarchate (the view from the window is just like here in booking, ask for N9), 10-15 min walk to Small Hagia Sophia (Kucuk Ayasofya... what people say » Camii) and Sokollu Camii - both worth visiting, 20-25 min walk to Hagia Sophia. Comfortable and large rooms, large bathroom. If you want to save mon - Very good apartments. Clean rooms with new furniture: beds for adults and a child, wardrobe, table, chairs, etc. Kitchen corner, frige, gas cooker, cups, plates, and utensils.The apartmants are in the old part of Istanbul, 20-25 min walk to Hagia Sophia. 5 min to the sea embankment, a fish market and fish restaurants. Frendly personnel fluent in English and Russian (special thanks to Yildiz!). Very well for family tourism.

  My friend and I stayed for 4 nights the apartment we had was ideal for our needs ,It was ideally located for visiting all tourist sites ,but you need to be fit for the steep hills ,very clean ,lovely Bulgarian maid came in every day and changed towels and bed again on third day, we did not realize breakfast was included but was fantastic ,after th... what people say » at we didn't need to eat till evening time ,restaurants very near by and reasonable prices ,they have taken over a building opposite,and are opening m - clean rooms and apartments, food good , very friendly stuff and managers ,you can keep ur luggage after check out at hotel until your flight time , its a group of buildings including SUR HOTEL , its budget and cost saving for staying near the historical places which is 4 mins walking from the hotel
