Marmara Konak Old City is located in a quite place and very close to sea as well as the top 4 attractions in Istanbul. I got up early to see sunrise in the rooftop and went to Blue Mosque almost everyday during the vacation. Moreover, It's very convenient to live in this hotel as it is surrounded by many restaurants with Traditional Turkish features. If it is possible, I will live in Marmara Konak Old City again when come to Istanbul next time.

Location - there's probably no better location in the new part of Istanbul. The hotel is literally 3 minutes talk from Taksim square, which is where all transportation go through. Fun, lively, friendly and welcoming staff. Very comfy beds, yummy breakfast, clean and good showers. Castle Hostel is very near to the Blue Mosque so you can just pop there after dinner to enjoy some salep and the buzz. We felt home and definitely stay there next time we go to Istanbul.

In our opinion the this was the best possible place to stay in Istanbul. The views from the dining/breakfast room were stunning. While having breakfast, we could gaze at the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sophia, the sea of Marama and many other wonderful sights. In addition to this, the hotel was only a few minutes walk from the tram stop. So we were in a perfect location not only to walk to the best of the ancient sights, but also to get the tram to other parts of the city.
