I do not really take the time to write about my vacation because that's why it comes for, not to do or rate anyone but Tamara has been amazing. Very good prices for the location which was right there in Taksim square- 2 mins walk really. The hospitality is top notch and they took care of us from a to Z. The ac was not initially working in the first room they gave us and they moved us and took care of everything within few minutes. T.

Welcome drink (tea, coffee or soft drink) on arrival, followed by the famous Turkish delight. Good location, 3 min walk to Taksim Sqare metro. BIG thank you to Burak the bellboy. Very helpful, even walked with us after we checked out to the airport bus stop so we could find it easily. Would come back here any time. I loved the location of Tamara Residence. Since from there you are only few minutes away from Taksim Square and Istklal Avenue. You are also close to the metro from where you can access the rest of the location you need to visit such as the old area and malls. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The hotel is located few meters from Taqsim square and less than five minutes walk from the bustling Isteklal street. The hotel exterior looks nice and neat . The staff is polite, attentive and efficient . The rooms are well equipped ( well funtionig AC and fridge and neat bathroom ). It was in a very good location just across a small road from Taksim Square at the end closest to Istiklal Avenue. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was clean and comfortable. Although really close to Taksim Square and Istiklal Avenue it was quiet inside. Excellent little hotel. Small rooms beautifully furnished and very cosy. We stayed in this hotel because of the proximity to Taksim square airport bus stop. It is located 5 mins from the square (if you know the way). Internet was fast and breakfast was good, the furniture was fairly new and the location is excellent to reach Taksim square. the staff was very kind with their very limited english. location. 1.The staff tried to accommodate a guest needs as much as they could. 2. Decor was modern although the furniture items were too big and barely fitted in the room. 3. It was very close to Taksim square, plenty shops and modes of transport. Location and room cleanliness is the only positive thing in this hostel. its not a hotel. Breakfast was good. Rooms are a bit small, have to wait 2-3 minutes for the hot water in the shower. Not much view from the windows (firewall or another house across the narrow street). So don't stay in your room but go out and discover this fantastic city!. Breakfast should be improved. It was on a very steep road, luckily they had a set of steps but getting to cars a bit more difficult. The lack of information in the room although the staff were very helpful in giving all necessary information when asked. The ad mentioned free toiletries but there was only soap no shampoo or conditioner. Nothing. Toilet seat broken (I understand that that is common in Istanbul) I spoke to some travellers in 5 star and they had the same. Showers need bit of attention leaking at the bottom. Smallish room. The hotel not big same like photo. It was not easy to find the hotel, the map is not accurate. The hotel is full of cat smell. Although the hotel looks good at first sight, all the details are terrible, the basin was not properly mounted to the bathroom table, the curtains were not mounted to the wall, the wallpaper glue off the wall... They opened our room door twice when I was sleeping with my family, at 12 am and 2:00 am, I got really pissed off of their staff / lake of system and invasion to my privacy. The toilet was extermly small and so was the room. there is huge lack of maintenance the glass door was falling down when I was under douche and cut me 3 times. not able to close the bathroom's door. and the toilet bowl was disgusting at the first time the lavabo is not fixed for easier cleaning but in this case is it one more possibility for accident I've spent 3 nights in the hotel 3 different room. the hotel needs renovation definitely. the room was too small and not so clean. 1. The staff don't speak English and speak very little Arabic which makes it very difficult to communicate with them. 2. Staff would have their breakfast in the same dining area with the guests dressed in a very casual attire and reserve the places on the terrace for themselves. 3. When they cleaned my room they drank water from my mini bar and tried to charge me for it. 4. They never changed the bed sheets for a week. 5. In general very unprofessional behavior. Room facilities are really poor, no AC and low pressure water was my concern. Staff are very rude, except for Kanaan and Abdullah they were really helpful. we switched rooms 3 times because of infunctional AC, which they switch off from downstairs probably. Many guests were complaining from the same thing. this should be your last resort in Istanbul, its not worth the money.
