We were very happy with our stay. Sultan`s has an excellent location, an awesome view from its rooftop restaurant and very helpful, polite and friendly staff. Especially administrator Yasin. It`s easy to get to three metro stations from Sultan`s: Sultanahmet, Beyazit and Chemberitash. Most of all we enjoyed the hotel was quite and clean. The staff can offer you a good choice: small cheap comfortable room or a bit expensive bigger one. Anyway you get a comfortable clean room and tasty breakfas.
all reviews » Sultans hotel is in a great location near the blue mosque in an inner suburban community right opposite a park. There is a BIM supermarket and many cafes nearby. Our room was a bit compact but had everything we needed including a bar fridge. Breakfast is served on the rooftop area and is buffet style with the usual options. The staff are very friendly. There is a shuttle bus which serves the airport which we used twice which refrain from travelling at neck brake speeds like taxis. Many taxis . On the hotel side of things they were very helpful, one receptionist even highlighted on a map all the things i should see and told me the best way to get there. Cleaners service the rooms everyday and are very friendly. Istanbul was great, we recommend galata bridge and the tourist areas under it, the grand bazaar, spice bazaar, blue mosque and the food place opposite the hotel thats attached to the park, looks low key but the foods great and so's the price, their nargile is good and they also. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. We had our breakfast in the terrace and the sea view was beautiful. There were a range of choices for breakfast. We stayed in six different hotels in Turkey and Sultans Hotel was the best. Although the hotel was a little bit far from the tram station, the neighborhood was quite and there were cheap restaurants and shops on the way back to the hotel. The value was beyond the price for the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel, especially for couples or fami. It is not too bad actually but it is worth paying a few euros more to have a room at the floor. We had a standard twin bed room, the room are not spacious just enough to accomodate 2 beds. My mother appreciated the cleanliness of the room, it was cleaned every day during our stay. The breakfast on the roof of the hotel was good as it must be in Turkey!. i book for the first two night then decided to extend my stay for 6 days. The hotel is comfortable, the staffs are helpful. Mustafa suggested for me to upgrade the room at the reasonable price because initially the room that i got was a bit small, smelly from the toilet and the A/C is not working. Theres small convenience shop next to the hotel in case u need anything and eatery around. We faced a lovely park, there was an atm, several non-touristy type restaurants, a photographic museum (I'm a keen photographer), a turkish bath, and an internet cafe literally round the corner and we were within easy walking distance of Sultanahmet square (Blue mosque and Hagia Sofia), and the Grand Bazaar. Great location within 10 minutes walking from Blue Mosque and Santa Sophia. Breakfast is served daily on a terrace with views of the ocean. The staff allowed us to stay a few extra hours in the waiting area while we waited for our airport shuttle to arrive. The staff spoke fairly well English. Easy access to all historical places. Convinience store just at next door. The hotel keeper (Yasin) very friendly and very helpful to assist and suggest us places to go. I would highly recommend this hotel. We stayed for three nights and the choices for breakfast were the same everyday; however, it wasn't really bothered us because the breakfast was good. The location is not the best. It is down the hill of the center and you need to walk up 10min to access the center of old Istanbul. a bit far from the tram station, about 5-10 minutes by walking. served same breakfast for everyday but who cares as the hotel is worth paying. Don't expect huge rooms and lots of space, altho it was adequate. The "Economy Room" is very small and there is no room for luggage. Perfect for 1 person, but with 2 pieces of luggage it was chaotic. The room is small, no place to keep our luggage. Theres no kettle in the room to boil water. Small bathroom. Room 105 is extremely small and bathroom is smelly. Extremely small room. Have had better value for money. Drains smelled of sulphur. One staff member not very helpful! average stay. The room was small & also the shower-room. Seaview was only form 3rd floor where breakfast was served.
