This was only a two days trip in Istanbul. But even I had so short time, the staff made this "transittrip" marveless. Because they helped me with transfer from/to the airport and good information about what to see and were to find a good fishrestaurant near the Bosborus.The staff treatet me like a familymember and in same way they were very professionel and good english speaking.This small boutiqehotels, is in the heart of the old part of Istanbul. I could reach everything worth seeing in walki.

You Can reach Hagia Sofia , Blue mousqe , Grand Bazar and tram in a few minutes. There are a lot of restaurants near by. Because this beautyfull hotell is small , I felt the staff really new their customers. This hotel have a 5 star standard , so you really get value for the money. Sefa Hotel is a small and cozy hotel in a popular area in Istanbul. It's in the old city of Istanbul where you can find The Blue Mosque, The Grand Bazaar and etc. The rooms are neat and tidy and the staff is very helpful and friendly. This hotel has got something for almost everyone who wants to experience a big city but stay in a nice and. You feel home, the staff is friendly and helpful. I appreciate the suggestions for restaurants & places to visit. We stayed there with our two children. When we leave hotel witout children receptionist helped them stayed with them thanks for everything. We had see wiev room. When we woke up we went beach everday. Marmara see is really beatiful. Location was good. Rooms were small but comfortable. Blumosque only 1 minute by walking. Good price. By walk distance from the main square and 1min. By walk distance from the sea. There was nothing good!!! It was the worst hotel in my life. good location. Location. nothing. Parking very poor on the pavement with high kerbstone and close to traffic. Breakfast very poor and size of rooms would suit a midget. The staff attitude, first they took us to an entirely different location to a resident perhaps with the rooms made of wood. There is no privacy in the rooms. Breakfast not served the first day and second day have to fight for it together with some German couples. They complained that their hotel is undergoing renovation. Proposed room was without any window (!!!). When we refused, they propose another hotel with more expensive price much further than this place. Another hotel was better, but I feel cheated. Please, be aware and better choose another hotel. The Sefa staff were confrontational, and seemed a bit sketchy. When I checked in the had me go to a nearby restaurant to charge my credit card for my stay there. So I technically never had a receit of staying at the Sefa Hotel. The room was tiny and really moist for some reason. Also the bathroom smelled like a portapotty. I would not recommend the Sefa Hotel to anyone who is staying in Istanbul as there are far better options available. Its nothing professional. No staff, no reception. I cant say its quite clean. The room and the bathroom inside were so small and the bathroom stinks. Better check the other hotels nearby. It was the worst hotel in my life. Most of them did not know good even in Turkish. We stay there 6 nights and 3 of them there was not electricity. There was no comfort. Their breakfast was very poor and old(not fresh). the room was very small, it smelt like mould, no cleaning during 3 nights of stay, towels weren't changed during the stay, total lack of interest from the receptionists in changing the room and fulfilling our requests; TV didn't work and also you couldn't flush the water from the toilet because it "was a problem" as the receptionist said; very poor breakfast; I wouldn't recommend to anybody. Small, unconfortable and whithout windows. Crazy noisy, and the receptionist stays smoking and talking to his friends till 1am. Up to you if you wanna stay there. Rude to me on arrival, they told me the hotel was full and I had pay all 3 days or I couldn't stay. They lied I woke up the next morning and the room adjacent to me was vacant. I asked to do some washing and they wanted to charge me 20€ for a small load. I paid for 3 nights but left after 2 nights, there wasn't anyone at the desk to check out. Do your self a favour and stay somewhere else.
