Location was great, 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and located in the intriguing, fascinating old town. The apartment seemed brand new inside, with a lovely kitchen (which we didn't use due to the sheer amount of kebabs and cakes that were consumed outside), very nicely presented, Wi-Fi, TV and living room. Also Tanner (the owner) was extremely helpful and friendly. Finally, the price was also good. Between 4 of us it worked out very cheaply. So to summarise, great apartment, great lo.
all reviews » The location is perfect for people who visit Istanbul for the first time. The owner offered free airport pick-up if you book more than 3 nights, which helped us a lot since our flight arrived at Sabihah airport, which is really far far away from the Sultanmehmet district. But the owner kept his word. The facility is new, rooms are clean. Apart from one single bed, two double beds, there are still two sofa beds available. So actually if you are a group of friends, to save money, the apartment co. Fabulous location and excellent apartment. Great space which is unusual for this city! Really well equipped with washing machine, cooking facilities, etc. Great communication with staff. Excellent neighbourhood and support. Don't be put off by the lack of signage or the stairwell entrance. Great village feel in the middle of the city. Even the neighbours and restaurant owners made us feel part of the local neighbourhood. Great way to finish our trip. The apartment is clean and well arranged with everything incluiding wi.fi. The apartment is very centrally located and very close to the shops, blue mosque,grand bazar and restaurantstie0r.The bathroom is clean and a great rainforest shower! Towels and sheets were clean and plentiful. Overall,We loved our stay there and hope to return there again.We highly recommend this flat for your stay.Mr Taner landlord is absolutely reliable,helpful,kind and reputable. He offered some good and friendly advice, and was very service minded. For example, there was a leak in the bathroom, and that was fixed immediately. (3) Three great bedrooms with good beds so older people like us slept well. I thought the Elegant Apartment was excellent in terms of situation and also value for money. The owner is super nice and helpful, the place is located in the heart of Sultanahmet (old town) and is very near tourist attractions such as Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace etc. only a few minutes walk. Very nice and helpful owner. Crispy bedlinen. If you sleep with the window open, you might find it a little noisy. But this is Istanbul - so what else would you expect!?. Only one washroom, so it takes time for 4 persons in the night to complete showering. Two rooms are connected, one even does not have a door! The heating system is a bit noisy, and disturbing; although the shower water is hot and comfortable. The only negative point was the entrance, which does not give a good first impression. Small living room (but that was not a problem anyhow) as we for most of the time were touring Istanbul, which is an awsome city. If you are looking for luxury stay it is not. The outside and corridor of the building is pretty scary... Bedroom didn't have a door but wasn't a show stopper. Its bit hilly around the old city,so it could be difficult for elderly. Too cramped, hot water for the showers were not easily controlled. The flat we rented was big, but not very comfortable. For example, only one socket in the room, only one wardrobe for the whole flat, shower leaks etc. Only one bedroom of 3 has aircon.
