The hotel is in a great location, just steps from the Arasta Bazaar and the Sultanahmet Square, meaning also the famous Hajia Sophia Musuem and Blue Mosque.. The man at the reception counter (whose name I should have asked for) was super pleasant and charming. He helped me book a show at the Hadja Pasha Centre and gave me directions to a few nearby attractions.. My room was cozy and beautifully decorated.There was a lot to offer at breakfast which was served in the roof top terrace overlooking .
all reviews » We visited this hotel 15 years ago and it has retained its charm while modernising. The room was very comfortable with excellent housekeeping. The room cleaning was meticulous but unobtrusive. The terrace where breakfast was held had beautiful views of both the Bosphorus and the Marmara. The hotel is very well positioned near the centre of the Old Town near the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, The self serve breakfasts were excellant with a wide range of food including honey from honecomb. All ro. everything was fine and the best thing is the location of the hotel beside blue mosque and hagia sofia and the terrace of the hotel while taking breakfast with a very nice view with blue mosque and hagia sofia and the sea ..just at first day we stayed at the first floor and the view was terrible and I felt that I'm staying at the street and the air conditioner was bad, so I asked them to change my room so they changed it in the second day to a room in the second floor with partly sea view. This hotel was centrally located to all the tourist attractions in the old city...easy walking distance to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Market. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke English very well. The breakfast each morning was outstanding and the views from the top floor restaurant were phenomenal. The rooms were decorated very well, very comfortable and clean. Very pleasant stay!!!. We liked everything about this hotel - location, room, staff. When we said to the staff that we are "just married" they gave us the better room with a sea view and in the room we found also bottle of wine and fruits! The breakfast on the upper terrace was very good. In other words, we couldn't choose better hotel for our honeymoon in Istanbul!. We loved the beautiful roof top terrace the best. Our bell hop Miteef was awesome &made sure we had absolute comfort at all times, whether it was carrying our luggage or providing us with ice & corkscrew for our drinking pleasure on the roof top. All staff at Azade are top notch. We miss them all. Very nice stay, everything is good, wifi stable, the bed is very comfortable.Our room even has sea view, roof top is wonderful for great sea view! Staff is very helpful. For traveler, it's easy/cheap to access with taxi from Eminonu (12 tl) for the 1st day with your big luggage. the staff friendly helpful, snacks in the lobby free for the guest location was perfect and i got very good offer through letsbookhotel.com i stayed for 2 nights each day diffrent rate was cheap. the hotel is not luxury but deserve what i paid 160 TL will not pay more ,. The part that I didn't like was having to leave the hotel to go to the airport on the last night. i was not well staying late in my room i asked for late cleaning around 5pm nobody came even to keep shampoo in the toilet 2 days without cleaning my room. The wifi was poor in some rooms but that was ok in restaurant and lobby. There was a garden between two site of the hotel and there were a cup of tea on its table that were not clean within 3 night of our stay. There were not a recycle bin and tissue in the rooms. Its breakfast could be better with some kind of different things. Charge of 15 euros for turkish bath. The spa was a bit hidden, and it would have been nice had it been on a reduced fee for the hotel residents. One of the maine reason of my selection was the displayed sauna/wellness facility in the house.What never ever happened to me- I mean, without public indication- ... the house requested pretty hefty fee for using that facilities. We sadly declined. the rude guy at the reception, but we didn't care about that much) And in the bathroom was a lil bit cold). Even it was switched off, the air conditioner made a weird sound all night that woke us up. Make sure it works properly or keeps silent before you go to bed. Only breakfast is a downside, but for us was not a big deal, as we still have enjoyed our time. There could be more service staff at brackfast time. Be prepared for the queues and the traders pestering you. Breakfast poor and non-diversified needs to develop the elevator is too small and narrow Lighting in hotel corridors are weak and sometimes does not work. There was nothing that we did not like. It was a little bit noicy early in the morning, because our room was near to breakfast room. They gave us only one key for the room and refuse to give us another one. Breakfast removed at 10:00 am exactly, if you come 1 or 2 min after 10:00 am you will not found any food. Nothing special to mention. Sometimes water pressure would diminish. Also hot water could disappear and reappear without warning. the hotel advertised having a restaurant-it didn't. They only served b'fast. We bought drinks on the terrace but couldn't charge them to our room. We asked about a late departure and were told that noon should be good enough. Shower was temperamental. Staff was ok but they could be more helpful. Same breakfast food every time. Could have varied it slightly. Our quad room was smaller than we expected because of the way a wide angle lens had been used for the room shot. We found the breakfast a bit of a struggle - and we do enjoy Turkish food. The selection of food was a bit unimaginative and hot dishes were allowed to go cold, which made us wary and so we tended to eat less than we needed. The breakfast menu are the same everyday. Nothing really!. The rooms were too warm and not well acoustically isolated. From 8am it is impossible to sleep because of people going up and down for breakfast. Safe did not work. Breakfast could be more elaborated and particularly bread choice, real expresso,.. nothing whatsoever. No leniency in checkout or other requests. Breakfast is the same every single day. Walls are a bit thin you can hear something if really load Tv wasn't working in the beginning.
