We were the first client of Alyon Suites. Even the hotel wasn't 100% ready, the staff did everything to satisfy us. It's very close to metro station, to Istiklal street, to taxim square, everything in 5 min on foot. Furthermore, even it's so close to the most popular and crowded street in Istanbul, the hotel is in a very quite place without any noise. We were a group of 4 girls and this hotel offered us what we wanted. A perfect holidays!!.
all reviews » Excellent location, newly refurbished and nice conditions, pleasant & helpful stuff. The right place for an enjoying stay in Istanbul. Located on a small alley back of main street of Taksim, it takes you away from tourist zone to the colorful local life. Forget the comfy restaurants and take a seat at the crowded takeaway food stalls from the street corner, or enjoy your tea at a game of backgammon late in the night. Location is absolutely perfect, very close to Taksim square and just behind Istiklal shopping street. No noise from the street here, very quiet area. Nicely decorated rooms and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Very good value for money. There is no view from your room window, but who needs a view from the room, when there are so many much nicer places to enjoy a view of Istanbul?!. Good central location; new hotel so all clean etc. tea making facilities in room-I object to being charged the earth for a cup of tea. Lift so no carrying cases up stairs. Cooked breakfast bar. Safe in room for valuables-large enough to take my laptop. Very good value for money. The staff of the hotel was very helpful. Location is perfect, very close to everything. Day staff were wonderful and helpful, night staff didn't understand English well so were pretty ineffective if you actually needed anything. Lack of hot water on top floor. Breakfast was somewhat unorganized and uninteresting. Breakfast. Phone is inscribed Turkish-only (how can one call reception?). The only negative thing was the view of the room which was awful.(we had the economy room). Elevator is tight and goes only till 4th floor and you need to take steep spiral stairs for higher floors. Shower and wc leaking but I guess as the hotel is brand new they were still doing the final touches. Lots of stairs for those staying on top 2 floors, climbing got tiresome after a few days, housekeeping staff didn't leave toilet paper so we had to go hunting the cupboards for more. breakfast was ok, although not many options if on a gluten free diet. Floors were not washed, only swept. - noisy: no sound from outside (Istiklal Street) but from the lobby and other rooms (mainly ringing telephone). Itsnot ethic behavaior for our room's preferations. Location, view.
