Location was great, friendly staff, nice walk around old castle. Recommended a nice boat ride at the harbor. We can recommend an AMAZING RESTAURANT AT THE HARBOR!!! It is called Club Arma...it was the most amazing meal and the price could not be beat. Great service and views as well. Back to the hotel: staff was great, no wifi in the room but in the lobby you could get it. Nice breakfast, basic but good.

The hotel was located close to the main street, a park, and a view of the sea. Once we found the hotel, which was a bit tricky, we were pleased with the rooms - two rooms for our family - and the little pool was fabulous! The breakfast was simple, hearty and good value. Everyone was very friendly. Especially the boss was very nice. She told us the "true" price of some touristic activities. Very central in the old town. Bus and tram closeby. Noisy school across the way and room was small but great value for money and we only stayed there one night. It was difficult to find the hotel on arrival. There is a school adjacent to the hotel and consequently you can hear school bells and children yelling during the week. The bed was also a bit hard for us. The young man at reception really does not know the area at all and sent us on a wild goose chase for a pub - if he had sent us left, we would have tripped over two pubs but he sent us right looking for four pubs that we never found. Our kids followed an hour later and we were all lost from one another for a good part of the night. Julia was more helpful and knowledgable about the area. One receptionist spoke poor english. Bath room needs a proper cleaning. We were in the family room (4 people) and it was a bit cramped. The pool was drained of water and not working, which was a drag as the days were really hot and the pool was one of the reasons that I booked this hotel. Our mini-fridge was not working well (didn't get very cold). Shower was very small. Pool was without water. TV did not work because of storm. We arrived there at midnight, and the went by taxi to there, and the road in Kaleici like a matrix. Without the clear direction from the otogar, we got lost and go round and round. Romm was quite small. Breakfast was only average. On our three week stay in Turkey, I would have to say this was the worst for breakfast. Most breakfasts in Turkey are buffet-style. This was not as the food is broght to you with no choices. There was a terrible smell in the room, coming from bathroom. The fact, that the prepaid voucher was not accepted and we had to pay again on check out.
