Layan Beach Hotels

Most romantic place we have ever stayed! The villas are beautiful and absolutely private. The ambience is superb. The staff was wonderful and did everything possible to accommodate any request. The food was quite good and fairly priced. The spa treatment prices were a bit steep compared to other places in Phuket, but the treatments are all done in your own private, massive "spa bathroom" so you don't even have to leave your villa. My wife and I stayed here in March and were blown away - one of our all time favourite hotels! The welcome was warm and serene, and the villa was extraordinary - with a private pool! The room was huge and gorgeous, very tastefully decorated -with wifi too. The location is isolated, which is good and bad: great for seclusion, but you are restricted to their restaurant (which is very good). The beach is lovely, and all in all it is a hidden gem in my view! - Irina

Stayed here for seven nights while travelling alone around Thailand in January 2004 and would definitely recommend if you want to relax and chill out away from the busy touristy areas. Lovely pool, although on the few occasions it became busy with children I took a gentle stroll down to the beach, and it seemed I usually had the whole beach to myself. Made frequent use of the spa which is just across the road from the hotel. It has a wide range of treatments available and the most fantastic spa - Kamel

Our family of 4 and another family of 4 stayed in a 3 bedroom house with a pool which was incredible. There was a huge master and 2 other rooms upstairs and another room downstairs with sofa bed. The house was huge and clean had everything you could need for a family of 8. The kitchen had a microwave and fullsize fridge. The pool was clean and cool, perfect for thailands weather. We found the house on ebay for a fantastic price and the owner was very accommodating, organising 2 cots and high cha - Ruth

Stayed there with the family in January 2006. Weather was perfect. Staff very friendly. Hotel itself a bit tired but our 2 bedroom suite was excellent. Standard rooms need updating. Waterslide and baby elephant a big hit with the kids. Restaurants with in Laguna complex a bit pricy but plenty of variety outside the laguna complex. Would highly recommend it for families but not for couples seeking a romantic getaway. Will definately go again. - John
