Almost everything was as we had imagined it before travelling. Or even better. The hut was amazing, comfortable, spacious, surrounded by nature, Thai style,... And the resort itself was even better. Located in the beach (although the huts are uphill surrounded by trees) has everything you can guess. The food (although it was more expensive than in the main Thai restaurants or stalls) was amazing, the pool, the beach area... everything. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. But don't expect.
all reviews » We loved the position of the resort right on the beach with so many nearby inexpensive eating places right on the beach nearby. We enjoyed the pool area with the cocktail bar close by and the half price cocktail sessions every evening. We enjoyed its location within easy reach by motorbike or tuk tuk of some stunning other beaches where we could swim or snorkel. The shopping at Old Town was also so easy to get to. The breakfaste were super with a variety of choices.the rooms were very carefully. The resort was in a beautiful location and the pool area and also the garden area were very relaxing. The hammocks along the garden and the confortable sun beds made a tranquil and beautiful surrounding. For the price we paid it was simply amazing and I would have to say it is one of my favorite stays which I have had in Thailand and the globe. I will be coming back and have recommended and will be recommending the resort to anyone I know or is traveling to Ko lanta. Thanks so much for the hos. Modest (in a good way!), cosy, clean and not too closely build villas nicely located on the hillside of the road. Great location of the restaurant and other public facilities directly on the beach. Awesome food (breakfast, lunch & dinner) served in the restaurant. Very friendly and courteous restaurant staff. All in all a very nice place to spend your holidays - with a few improvements it would be close to perfect!. Fantastic setting with lots of luxury areas to sunbathe. Restaurant was good but there are better value restaurants along the beach. One of the best beaches in Ko Lanta. Very attentive staff. Recommned the 2 bed apartments for families, these were the only beach huts on the beach, we would have been disappointed staying in the huts there were behind the main road in the woods. Highly recommended place!!! The bungalows are at hillside, so yes you need to walk a bit up hill through a beautiful nature garden. For this you get a beautiful view of the sea. We had bungalow 514 what is one of the highest but at this place you almost see no-one when sitting on your huge terrace. The restaurant is very good but more expensive than all the restaurant nearby. The location is good,the beach is very beautiful. The pool and the restaurant are just on the beach,very nice.The room is in the mountain,a little bit far from the reception and the beach,but it's quite and you can enjoy different view.Also we could make tea and coffee in the room thanks to the mini bar so I can have good chatting at night with my friend. Loved everything about this place! The "zen" design, friendly service, beach front location, amazing food, and value were all great. And the views of the sunset every night have been spectacular!! Travelling solo this time, but will definitely come back with my wife and baby girl first chance we get. The staff were so friendly in the bar and restaurant area. They made such an effort for their Halloween party (decorations, fancy dress, fire dancing and lanterns) it was great. We were sad to say goodbye to them. The beach is lovely and quiet and the pool is refreshing. Everything about it from first arriving with being greeted with a cool towel & drink. Service & staff were excellent. The place itself was quite magical & captivating. I would definitely stay there again & highly recommend it to anyone. Great staff..always smiling. The pool and front of the hotel look amazing however they only add to the disappoint you feel when you get to the rooms! The staff are helpful and doing there best - we had to move rooms as the first was a shambles. Nothing. The resort needs a covered area near the bar where you can sit at tables and eat or play family games or have a drink or enjoy breakfast . The breakfast area is very hot and a shaded area with the breeze would have been heaven. Only drawback would have to be the Mosquitos. Just buy some coils and you will be fine. Oh one more thing the showers could do with some better pressure at this was a little weak. Although the hotel promotes itself with "nature instead of luxury", some improvements could be in order: loose water faucet, leaking toilet faucet (maintanence was unable to fix it during our 11 days stay..), most electric sockets not working, ant invasion in the bathroom on the last days. No wifi at bungalow. The bathroom have a lot of ants. If I were to find anything to nitpick about, I'd probably be a little TOO posh for my own good. Nothing bad to say. letsbookhotel.com didn't make it easy to minus one day off our trip and so had to pay an extra night. I would recommend booking directly through Sri lanta. Nothing. But if I had to be really picking & search for something the flies & Mosquitos. Donut forget some insect repellant. Housekeeping was a problem.Once we came back from our day trip around 2 pm and our room was still dirty.But cant fault this resort in any way still.Excellent value for money. The bar closing at 9 and last orders for food being at 8:30. Staff during check in could have been more friendly, had some problems during check in and wiated like 3 hours for our room to be ready. In the end they appologized with a free drink. One little minus, the bungalows are at the other side of the street and quite far away from the beach. So could be not so comfy with kids.... Having to leave!!. The flies in the restaurant The sea isnt swimable in the green season (at least it wasnt while we were there!) even in high season maybe only at hightide due to the rocks. No wifi at the villas. maybe service a bit too laid-back :), but hey, it's part of the atmosphere. Nothing. bathroom could improve. The pathways to the cottages could be a bit slippery. Nothing. No entertainment nearby and very far off from airport. We had to cut short one day as we had return flight at 8.10 am to bkk. First ferry starts at 6 am and 3 and half hours to airport. Prices at the bar were high esp beer. Asked us to pay for pre-existing damages to the scooter we rented although in the end they did not charge. Tiny pool, lazy and absent staff. The mosquitos in the bed room... rooms are old rooms are not clean (even after complaining) not enough water in the shower (even after complaining) no wifi in the rooms. too expensive for what it is. had the feeling of an all inclusive hotel for us. beach is very nice, but except for one convenience store, there is nothing around, just more hotels and bungalows. the villas are separated by a road from the rest of the hotel. Water is not flowing all night because water tank broken. Some rooms are quite far to the hill from the beach. Breakfast is poor, basically no fruits except for a small plate. The room was horrendous - insects everywhere. They may try and sell it as an eco-lodge however in truth the rooms havent been updated in over 15 years. The aircon unit and TV were huge and at least 15 years old. The room was so dingy and dark, plus the white towels were grey. If this hotel as £25 a night i would let some of this slide but at £70+ a night it is a joke. we moved after the second night. 1/10. Everything.

Surya Chandra Restaurant For an eclectic selection of traditional Thai and international culinary favorites SriLanta’s guests can head along to the uniquely designed Surya Chandra Restaurant. Built almost completely from wood, the restaurant, named after the Hindu Gods of the Sun and the Moon, is exceptional in architecture: entire trees form the structure that supports the roof 13 meters overhead. From Surya Chandra Restaurant you have a grand view of the sun setting across the ocean.

Important information to guests

For bookings made from 2 May 2017 onwards, a compulsory Gala Dinner is included in the room rates of 24 and 31 December 2017. The package includes Gala Dinner/Buffet, Fire Show and Thai Dance Show The rates of the Gala Dinner are based on room type and occupancy (guests sleeping in extra bed will be charged separately). Please be informed that during the high season, Yoga sessions are available 5 days a week at the beach front Yoga Sala.

Room information details

SriLanta takes the form of 49 thatched villas offering garden and/or mountain views. Each of the villas are positioned on a hillside amongst hundreds of trees and tropical vegetation. It is important to us that SriLanta Resort lives life in harmony with its natural surroundings. Minimalist in style with thoughtfully designed natural furnishings and equipped with essential amenities, each villa presents guests with a rustic form of traditional Thai living. Villas are categorized as Cottage (the standard type), Veranda (with a balcony), Star Path villas (with a veranda on which there is a gazebo and open-air bathtub).

Travelling information

Getting to and from the resort can take from 2 to 4 hours depending on your transportation mode. - Ferry If you choose to make your own way to the resort by car and by ferry it can take between 3-4 hours. The first ferry leaves from the Hua Hin pier (mainland Krabi) at 7am. The ferry is unpredictable so if you are in a hurry we recommend using our Lobster Transportation mini van and speedboat service. This service guarantees a safe trip and is very reliable even when dealing with late or early arrivals. - Mini Van and Speed Boat Weather permitting this service is by far the best and most efficient way of getting to and from our resort. The resort's mini van will pick you up from Krabi airport and drive you directly to the pier (50 minutes). From here a speed boat will transport you to their private pier on Koh Lanta Yai (30 minutes) where you will board another mini van to SriLanta Resort (20 minutes). This trip generally takes 2 hours. * The speedboat service is only available during the high season (November 1st through April 30th) Out of this period only the mini van is used.
