Staff: Very friendly. Had trouble with the safe deposit box twice, and they were prompt with the assistance. Check-in and out was reasonably prompt. Restaurant staff were warm and friendly...Facilities: Nice tub in the toilet to soak (but no real bath foam to use). Jacuzzi in the swimming pool was nice. Their swimming pool is the main draw as it snakes around the rooms, so it is huge and fun to use. Breakfast had a good selection, and they changed a fair number of dishes on my 2nd and final vis.
all reviews » Myself and my husband stayed in a Private Pool Villa which was fantastic, huge bed and plenty of space throughout. The resort is stunning and well maintained. We really enjoyed the attention given to visitors by all members of staff, all staff were curteous and willing to do anything they were asked, we were so lucky to be at the resort during the Loy Krathong Festival which we really enjoyed, such effort and hard work were put into the festitivities and getting the hotel decorated to which a. When we first arrived we were told that the resort had overbooked and we were being taken to another resort at Karon Brach for two nights. Joy from Metadee was most courteous and assured us that the other resort was four star, which it was. As a trade off we were upgraded to a private pool villa and given a free meal at the restaurant. The staff in general are very polite and professional. Particular thanks to Joy and Boy. The pool with the natural beauty. Our room was with pool access and it was wonderful. The hotel was surrounded with the most unusual plants. The breakfast was good. The golf caddy transported the guests to the main road, which was good. The oriental massage at the end of the road is worth a try. Clean. The waterfall in pool was a good water massage! The room had a lovely fragrance thanks to the burner in the room. Loved the awesome service provided by the staffs. They also gave husband a complimentary birthday cake on his birthday! A pleasant surprise indeed. Our room is always clean with clean bedsheets and comfortable pillow. The adjoining bath tub / bathroom and the bed, enable us couples to have out nightly romantic time together, watching tv while soaking. We had a villa pool access room and it was amazing. The room was huge as well as the bathroom and we had a direct access to the pool from our balcony. The hotel is not located on the beach side but the hotel has a shuttle every hour or you can walk 10 minutes. The woman at the reception was really nice and very helpful. The quite location and green environment of the villas. The size of the room was generous and well equipped. The floor bathtub addedd that touch of style and luxury in this still very natural environment. Private villa was ideal for couple needing time away. Really nice. We loved our private pool villa. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Very quick response to our requests. Our included breakfast was buffet style and offered many options including continental, cooked and asian style breakfasts. The F & B staff particularly Fah and Boy, but they were all helpful and friendly, the pool is wonderful, the golf cart drivers are very helpful, the room is great and the shopping at Kata is pretty good and not far away. Kata beach is so much nicer than patong. Jungle which were at area around the hotel bring me 1,000 times greater delight than those that I saw on the tour. Facilities: However the wifi connection was bad, had to reconnect frequently, and I hardly managed to get stable wifi from my room...Comfort: The pillows had a smell similar to when damp clothing is not aired well (could be the case for just my room). The glass sliding door served both the cubicle and the shower, and sometime do not hold in position, but instead slide to the centre, so just take a little caution during showering to avoid flooding the floor. Absolutely nothing!!. Internet signal has problems. The extreme humidity in the room did not really dry the clothes specially the towels, despite the small machine to collect the moisture. Something needs to be done about it. It is a little far from the muslim food but as long as you have a bike to rent, it shouldn't be a huge problem. Otherwise, no problem at al!. The hotel is great even if I did not like Kata. Late check out was not possible and we were charged half board for 4 hours stay. Could have been more accommodationg given the lenght of stay and premium price we paid for room. I thought the towels and bed linen were beginning to show their age, and the floor in the room could have been cleaner. A bit pricey, but still great overall. I can't think of anything within the hotel that I didn't like. The area itself was just too commercialised, and I wouldn't go back. Nothing. Only some of the staff could understand English. It was hard to get a spa treatment or massage on the same day you booked as they were very busy. Airport transfer costs were very expensive. none. Nothing... Villa had a lingering smell of damp. Hideous reception as it is too small for the first impression of the hotel. Needs an upgrade and better reception desk. Staff need to hide their paperwork and computers and phones behind a standing reception desk!. Snakes. Mini bar complimentary drinks are too simple for a villa with private pool. The cleaning service was not that good. Depends on the cleaning person. Also, we have booked a privet pool villa so for sure we will not leave before 6 or 7pm, yet the clening service is closed at 6pm and we have to wait for the next day to clean our room. This was the only bad thing. nothing. Breakfast is not that great. Noisy , can not sleep because of sounds of insects. I paid 1000 baht for some color on the bed cover!! No 5 star hotel do like this for guest. Internet problems. Need to sort the wifi - it was so frustrating (when it was working at all!). Nothing. too far from beach. No hot water for showering. clean the outside chair The pillow is a little bit high. The furnishings were a little tired, definitely not 5star.. Somewhere around 3.5stars? Also, some of the bed linen was stained and the air conditioning was noisy and inconsistent. Overall, I felt I had overpaid a little. Breakfast could offer more variety & selection. Gym could be better equipped. very old and tired.
