1. Place. Kata Beach is 10-minutes walking (with small children) far away the hotel. Kata Noi Beach is better, but further - we get it only by bike for 5 minutes. Restaurants, mini-shops, massage are near the hotel. 2. Staff is very friendly. We lived in room and in bungalow. Bungalow is enough comfortable, but we are not choosy. Towels, bed-linen are white and clean, are changed every day. There is a big balcony (only in bungalow) with chairs and table, clothes-horse. Breakfast is standard fo.
all reviews » It was very cozy, with nice grounds and neat rooms. The beach is pretty close, as are quite a few restaurants for those who want to try something new. The staff were extremely helpful, though not all spoke very good English. Both the common area and the rooms are kept clean and tidy. Wi-fi is free and works without a hitch. I stay in this hotel not at first time. Hotel Chaba is a great place to stay, staff are friendly. Easy location, proximity to shops, close to everything in Kata and Karon, but still lovely and quiet. Great pool, good breakfast. Will definitely stay again if we are back in Kata!. Excellent Internet connection in room; beautiful pool; good range of buffet breakfast which included at least 2 different Thai dishes every morning; proximity to shops; staff very friendly and helpful, especially Pon and Noing; clean sheets + towels every day and loads more. You should really travel off-season, Phuket is much nicer then. Not fresh maintenance. Rooms are not luxurious and idealy cleaned. At first room we sufferd from insects living in furniture but after complain on it we were moved to much better room that is why finaly we were very happy with experience of living in this hotel. Family bungalows are a little dated and beds a bit hard. The breakfast wasn't very good. Lack of variety of fruit at the breakfast buffet. A bit distant from Kata Beach. You need some 15 minutes on foot to get there. You can use a shortcut along a local stincky sewage canale, so it is not very pleasent trip. No safe in room. Food was very average. Unless you ate very early, breakfast had gone cold. Internet can be really slow sometimes. nothing. Toilet and shower in same space. We did not like the fact that we were not picked up at the airport by a pre-arranged and e-mail confirmed taxi. We ended up waiting and reached the hotel under our own steam late at night. Same breakfast everyday. you will have to walk along the smelly drain to reach the beach. The wifi connectivity is a sour point. It was very erratic and walk all the way to Reception to pick up wifi signals. Something, really needs to be improved upon. About, food Asian/Indian food is not showingup anywhere in the menu. It becomes difficult for Indians to eat thai food all the time. The airconditioning was working, but it took a long time to cool down the room. Only fault was decoration in bungalow was a bit tired and dull looking. However apart from that everything perfect. NONE. Nothing. Were staying in building 1,,kind of noisy early part of evenings,with a live band/singing going on. Shortcut to beach via sewage canal was useful Bit of bad odour,,,same for all sewage canals I guess. Breakfast needed more choice. nothing really. Smell from the small lake next to the room window( not pool). Noisy climate, bungallow not looks like on pictures, much poor. The lake was dirty, bungallows and bulgallow's area needs renovation. A little bit far from the beach. All the staff were very helpfull and friendly except the older lady who checked us out and we tried to book taxis with but was most unhelpful !!! She should NOT be working front desk in a place as good as that !!!. Nothing. weak wi-fi reception in family bungalow 3B, power supply is not so stable. small extra bed.
