No doubt this hotel knows how to please their customers. Firstly, the location is really great. Just across to Karon beach... Staff are so kind! They help us anytime we need. Rich breakfast can make you full until dinner. Taste was also great. Hotel facilities are good. I read couple of comments related to old furnitures. Yes they are old but comfy as well. all reviews » The money is definitely well spent, and I could not find a suitable word to describe how amazing the stay at Moevenpick is. We got a upgrade to sea view standard room, the beautiful Karon beach is right in front of us, only 5 minutes walk. Breakfast buffet has much choices, food is perfect. Hotel staff (I mean everyone, even including the security guard of back gate) is really nice and very helpful. Moevenpick Karon is absolutely the only choice at Phuket Island for me. And I already recommende. Perfect location just across the road from the beach and near bars and restaurants. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here recently and the staff are always so friendly, the gardens are beautiful and I would recommend this hotel to everyone - stay in the villas that allow you to use the quieter coconut grove pool though as the main pool is quite noisy with lots of kids. The Hotel gives an excellent 1st impression relief espatially after the one hour trip from the airport. The breakfast was amazing with different varieties. With two kids traveling with us; I was impressed with their daycare facility "Play Zone" very reliable with many activities for the kids. The resort was well maintained, clean and very hospitable. Friendly personnel and a lovely view from the sea-view room. Every night a orchid flower was placed on the pillow with a card with wishing good night. Large hotel garden very well arranged. The location is excellent, well maintained beautiful landscape, spa is awesome, a very enjoyable walk from main building to the beach, Kids play zone, good spread for the breakfast buffet. My flight was late in the evening and checkout is at noon so they provided a room for 30 minutes to shower before I left. I really enjoyed the beach here as well as the pool. Security staff at gates were not trained to be aware of the diversity of it's growing clientel. We were harassed several times as we walked out and back to the hotel despite that the guard could have discreetly verified our identity with the reception the first time. This is very upsetting as we did not dress or behave in-appropriately. The days of colour discrimination are over and especially a hotel in this region should be made aware of that. Staff training is essential at all levels. Wifi was poor , but free ,. All good. The breakfast finished at 10:30, because of the jet lack it's not so comfortable. nothing. Small insects in the room. The massage in the spa was bad for me. My first room was really horrible...full of ants, old furniture and really dark. When I asked for it to be changed, the staff was fine with changing it for me. The room and the bathroom were old and not as luxurious as I thought they would be!. Daughter given a black henna tatoo at kids camp, without any permissions taken from parents. Style of the rooms .. The corridor between the rooms. i have been charged an extra $500, the holding fee for extras was not returned and I don't know how to sort this out as a great deal of the staff don't really understand English. The staff are lame . No hospitality . The hotel is not customer oriented, they always look for money. I requested taxi pick up to the airport and they told me that they are going to charge me the double of the fare while I reserved a taxi by myself and I paid half price. Cheap towels and uncomfortable lounge chairs at the pool for the villa guests, broken doors and chair cushions in our villa. the staff is very pool!. Our expectations from seeing the pictures on the internet were not met. We were very disappointed with our old musty room and decided to leave two nights early.
