The rooms - or rather apartments - and location are excellent, certainly for the modest rates. Kamala is certainly amongst the best beaches on Phuket, one of the last unspoiled ones.
The best thing is the owner (Zen) who will do anything to make your stay pleasant.

Although the rooms are well maintained, the building could have a bit of an overhaul.
Furthermore the cleaning (lady) needs some attention. She tends to forget parts of the apartment (structurally the balcony, sometimes the bathroom or the floor) and cleans at various times that are convenient for her, not the guests. It becomes annoying when you have no idea when or even if the room will be cleaned.
