Everything was just perfect at this hotel. Such a shame that a just got to stay there one night! The service was very good (the best I have had during three weeks and many hotels) and there was no problem to cancel one night when I had to go earlier with my flight to Bangkok. I would certainly recommend this hotel. I stayed at 310, third floor and it was very good, just as the photos shows. all reviews » Have stayed all over the world in high end hotels and I've never had such a friendly staff. My friends and I have not left the compound during the day because we enjoy being on the hotel's beaches and conversing with the staff. I only wish we had planned to stay here longer. The food is also incredible, it is truly on par with some of the better Hotel restaurants in the world...and a fraction of the cost. I know this all sounds too good to be true, but I'm in my room right now and felt compell. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of Chawaeng and close to the beaches. It has two restaurants i.e. One Thai/Western and one Japanese (Fuij). Breakfast is of buffet style with a wide selection of food. The rooms are spacious and well designed. Hot and cold water supply which is working well. Nice but not too big swimming pool in a garden like setting. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking can be done at the street or in the hotel's special parking space. A place of comfort - modern, clean and efficient. The facilities are new and considerate. The room was stylish with simple design and a taste of Thai. We enjoyed staying in the room a lot. Though not at the beachfront, the hotel has convenient access to the beach within 1 minute walk. It is in easy walking distance (10 min at the most) to most of Chaweng's most popular night life destinations, and the distance avoids all the noises. Pool area is great for relaxing. If you are looking for a decent,clean,modern,comfortable hotel on a Caweng beach go for Tana hotel. Location is just perfect,few minutes away from center of Caweng but still in a quiet district. Beach is 2 minute away,and the part of the beach in fron of the next Centara Hotel is definitely the best part of it. Rooms are not so spacious but still enough big for relaxing 10 days. The hotel is clean, the staff speaks english, 2 min walking from the beach, shops and restaurant everywhere. The location is awesome if you don't wanna be in the middle of the crowd all the time. We had no problems as a couple, but remember if you don't know your partner so good could be uncomfortable: the bathroom door cant be locked and you can hear everything. Samui Chaweng Tana is located by the main street of Chaweng. Good staff and good breakfast. I will re-book it once back to Samui. The room we stayed (the most basic room) was small. It is good enough for us, but much better if there were more room to move. Also... rude neighbors that were enjoying moving furniture at 2 o'clock in the morning. The room wifi is very weak. The space in the room is a little limited. Located a bit further out from the main tourist area (a good half hour walk)! Staff didn't speak great English. Not the best location just off main road had to cross over and cut through other hotels to get on to the beach and our room didn't have a balcony. - A bit far from the center - Were many mosquitoes in the room, so we had to change to another room. Lift didn't work well; breakfast selection limited. The closest beach to the hotel is very dirty. None. the breakfast can be improved . Lack of variety however you can walk out of hotel to have another brekkie too. - staff tried to tell us that a cab to the boat off the island was 900 baht. We opted to find out own on the street for 400. - Room service was the worst food we had in our 2 week trip to Thailand, also the most expensive. One lady from the reception tried to rip off money from us. Beware. Breakfast not good. Layout of room was strange no privacy when using the bathroom, was bitten to bits by Mosquitos had to buy repellent from chemist to spray room, breakfast wasn't to great had a cat meowing at our feet whole time we were trying to eat our meal. Not many English speaking tv channels. Every time we used the shower the bathroom smelt like drains afterwards. Pillows were rock hard. No facilities no spa/ gym bit basic, room smelt damp. Our room was facing the main road which was very noisy all day. In fact most room of this hotel were facing busy road. Room facilities were too simple. The staffs are rude, especially the lady at the receptionest. We ordered for airport pickup, but they let us waited for more than half an hour while arriving. The room was too noisy to live, and not as big as described on the website. We made extra orders while booking, but non of those was fulfilled by hotel.
