  As mentioned by other travellers, Ariyasom Villa is like an oasis in the middle of Bangkok and is right next to the International Hostpital. We previously notified the hotel that we would arrive early in the morning after an overnight flight from Europe and would leave the next day at 9 pm (we booked two nights for this).When we arrived at 8 am, o... what people say » ur room was ready and we could have a rest straight away, which we very much appreciated. We were also able to swap our second day breakfast and have - I was looking for a small, personal hotel with historical character, and I found it! A beautiful oasis of calm and greenery where you can forget the mad traffic in the city. The owner and his staff were delightful and eager to assist. They gave their own personal recommendations for city travel and places to visit, and these turned out to be excellent.   We arrived at the Anantara in the evening and were promptly checked in and shown our room. It took a few minutes for us honeymooners to realise we had been given twin beds much to our dismay, guest services offered to move us to another room but we had to wait a couple of hours for it to be available, not a great start.... My concerns immediately ... what people say » dissipated when we were shown to our new room, a complimentary upgrade to a "suite", which is actually just a much larger, better appointed room. If y - beautiful hotel, staff very professional and all very very friendly. Nice welcome and personal accompany to room by receptionist. Big hotel but you don/t sence that, the setup of the buildings (3 wings) and gardens give it a hidden, cozy atmosphere. Breakfast is amaaaaazing! Free shuttle boat to Central pier every half hour. From late afternoon also stop at Asiatique (great shopping and dining) on the other side of the river). Good gym with group classes like step/yoga/stretching. Very nice It

  The room was absolutely beautiful. We liked the hotel better than the Pathumwan Princess which is very expensive, which we stayed at last time. It was so convenient, close to the popular Khao San Road and right on a ferry wharf on the Chao Phraya River. The breakfast was very good and the atmosphere - especially at night on the deck beside the Rive... what people say » r was great.The service personnel were exceptional - We loved just about everything about this hotel. Its location is ideal particularly as the river boat stops just outside the hotel. The rooms are beautifully made and if you are lucky enough to book a room over looking the river it is certainly worth the exra cost. The restaurant area has a lovely relaxing atmosphere and you can enjoy watching the comings and goings on the river. Excellent!

  I like the fact that the staff ensured that we felt welcome and complete while at the hotel. Very friendly and would definitely recommend to others.
