I have done quite a bit of traveling over the years and I am always looking for a deal. I recently booked my stay at a different hotel in Bangkok and had to change hotels (long story) so, I found the ratings on The Fusion Suites pretty good. I have to tell you, the decor of this place is quite unique, very local, the lobby was inviting, the slightly lower lighting created a great mood. The rooms? For the price you pay, they are massive, large bed, all touch controls for lighting in one panel by.
all reviews » Good for those who have come to Bangkok for shopping and leisure. The location is calm and nice, just off the main road and 5 to 10 minutes walk from both the underground and sky train. Taxi's are easily available. A couple of good eateries, a 7 Eleven store and an ATM are nearby. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Their willingness to help overcomes the slight language barrier, that's more to do with the accent. They can otherwise communicate fairly well in English. Will defini. Location is very good close to MRT / BTS intersection at Asok to Sukhumvit. Quiet location of this design style hotel even is nice after the hassle of night life around the corner. Staff is polite and helpful and discrete too. Will stay there again...very good value for money!. The highlight is its warm and friendly staff a welcome relief compared to other sukumvit hotels where the staff seem to be very stressed and curt in their replies . Here the staff is ever smiling very friendly and flexible making the xperience great. - great location, just a short walk away from the BTS (Asoke) station and Terminal 21 (awesome mall) - loved the design of just about every part of the hotel, from the lobby to the sitting areas to the room and bathroom. - taxi stand nearby. Taxis had trouble getting to the location, even local gps is off. Everything is dark, there is not enough light in the room, you dont feel the room being cleaned very good, the shower place is not very inviting for use barfeet...you get the feeling of unfinished items..but this is part of design!. They could have some vegetarian options in their menu. - after a long day of shopping, the short walk seemed much longer... but still not long enough to make you dislike the location :) - the hotel tuktuk never showed up to pick us from the BTS station when we arrived so we had to drag our luggage to the hotel. The coffee. Will put hair on your chest. everything was fine. No swimming pool. ...but maybe a little overpriced. That's Bangkok for ya. poor customer service. Shower water tended to drain onto floor Shower did not drain well. There're no windows. TV system very confused. Very hard bed, too much noise in the morning from the cleaners. Windows are blocked.
