Great little hotel with beautiful gardens. We have chosen it because of its location. It is 15 minutes away from Grand Palace and Wat Po and it is opposite Wat Rachabophit which was a bonus. We also liked the fact that is wasn't near busy street or on horribly loud and busy Khao San Rd. All rooms were facing the gardens and we didn't hear any traffic or other noises. Room and bathroom was nice and clean and had a kettle which was a bonus as we like our tea and coffee in the evening. Huge plus f.
all reviews » Feung Nakorn Balcony is a hidden gem in Bangkok and it took some digging on various websites to find out about this place. It is a hostel that offers many types of room configurations for either the solo traveler, groups or family.It was perfect for our trip since there were three of us and we had a triple room. We were looking for reasonably priced lodging within reach of the Grand Palace and Khao San Road area and this was it. Feung Nakorn is a converted elementary school set off from the roa. Spotless hotel with fairly good facilities, free snacks are my son 's favorite, so as the cartoon channels in cable tv. The Thai food served in this hotel is very delicious though a little bit pricy. The garden is quiet and nicely designed. The free breakfast we had was good, if you get up early before breakfast serving time, a packed sandwiches with small cup of drinking water can be pre-booked one night before. Staff working at this hotel offered me helpful information. Hotel also helped us t. We loved this place, the staff are super attentative although some a little more than others. The guy outside the hotel will hail taxis and tuk tuks for you and ensures you dont get a rip off price. The rooms are tastefully done and very large. The bathrooms aren't amazing and certainly still the typical thai style wet room sort. But the rooms are lovely and airy and large and there is a hairdryer and safe in the room. Pillows could do with being a bit more soft as we all observed they were a b. Staff nice and friendly, quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet still within easy walking distance of everything. Courtyard set out very nicely and has a relaxed atmosphere. Rooms were very tidy and happy, well lit with warm colours. There is also a nice little ice cream store next door, good coffee on the first floor at the front of the resort (when its open). The environs with the coy pool and water gardens and flowers made us feel relaxed. The staff is professional and courteous and helpful to the nth degree! The hotel is centrally located to many attractions near the Grand Palace, yet it is very quiet. The breakfast buffet is delicious and plentifyl. Robust coffee and thirst-quenching beers at hsppy hour! We loved it all!. I think this is the best hotel in Bangkok! we realy needed the oase of peace we could find there after begin overwelmed by the chaotic live in Bangkok. the rooms were nice, free mini-bar (water and chips/nuts), nice bar and restaurant, but most of all, the garden was wonderful and gave us the rest we needed. Silent, clean, no mosquito, beautiful garden with fish pool, delicate map for taxi, nice reception mark router to scenes on the map base on your favor. It's very close to a morning market, where you can buy very fresh fruit and local food with reasonable price. You can use credit card without difficulty. The staff was completely friendly and always ready to help. The hotel was very quiet.The location was great as it was located in the old area of bankgok and close to grandpalace and another interest places.Also the room price was according with my budget I highly recommend this hotel. We wanted to get massages but were told we'd have to go as far as khoa san road to get them. But the serenity if this place makes this a very very minor drawback!!. The only thing was the drains in the bathroom needed to be cleaned, they had a sulphur smell coming from them that was very strong. Far from BTS/MTR, you have to take taxi. Taxi experience in Bangkok is very bad. A weird smell in the bathroom. Apart from this everything was great!!. The building does not have a lift , but it is not big deal as staff helping you with your luggage. There is no shoes in the room. Hope to get more free water. In our room bed was traditional wooden, which was quite pretty, but also hard for the back. But it is really sophisticated and subjective information:) Ask for room with softer bed if it's important for you. The only weakness of this place is that taxi drivers have difficulties finding it. So be sure you have also a map of the location besides its address. I recommend to even have a smartphone with gps and some map application, just to be sure. Breakfast options limited. Bed mattress a bit hard. No iron. Good location for the Grand Palace area but otherwise it looks like cabs have a hard time in finding it. There was still some renovation going on while we were there, and the working made for a less relaxing lunch. Nothing. We had an unpleasant experience wthe the taxi transfer to the airport, the taxi arrived 45 minutes late. Nothing. There vas place to sit Down for a cup of kafe or something to drink outside the hotel. It was hard to reach. No lift!. Nothing. We stayed in the dormitory and for the price we should have gotten a private room. The bathrooms were pretty gross and there were cockroaches. Just typical Thailand hostel problems. Only few of the staff speaks english. location is not bad,but sometimes the taxi driver is not willing to go there by meter. The courtyard was under renovation so it was messy.
