We booked 2 nights, but they offerred us to stay at another villas(kiri, about 7 minutes drive away) which is owned by the same person for the second night with no extra fees. with comparison, kiri is better than layan in terms of funishing and cleaness, but still, layan surprised us and surpassed our expectation. It really makes us felt at home, with all the facilities we would expect to have in a home. when you order food, the stuff would come into the kitchen and put the foods into dishes an.
all reviews » My family and I had a most enjoyable and relaxing time at Layan Villas. We were very comfortable there and it was very quiet. It was a very short bicycle ride to the nearby beach, which we practically had to ourselves. Our host, 'PK', was very friendly and very helpful with recommendations for places to visit, dine at, and just generally getting around. There was courtesy transport into town, and a nice restaurant just next door offering authentic Thai food. Our boys loved having their own. Perfect holidays starting with the pick up at the airport until the end. Staff always at our disposal with a big smile. Tour bookings, car rental in few minutes, breakfast, everything was fantastic. Outside shower in every room, marvelous in the tropical heat. We got a mobile phone to call Mr. PK, was very appreciated. Perfect stay. Villa design. Private pool. Staff made more private by putting plastic cover in the bambu tree wall. Dvd player and movies. Tv channels. Reasonable price food. Free shuttel to beach and shop. Quite and very romantic. Although the location is relatively far from nearist supermarkets or restaurants it made it a relaxing environment , very calm. Pk their property manager was too good and he took care of all the needs of residents. You just had to ask and he would get it done immediately. And in kiri villas the furniture is more modern, the location is more in the middle of the city, we liked the facility and the bike facility so we van drove the nearest market and enjoy the local food. Very nice villa, staff were fantastic, good value. design. 1. the path to the built-in restaurant maybe needs a bit more funishing and signs. it gets gloomy and a little bit spooky in rainy evenings. 2. it would be better if the shower rooms could be sealed, as we found a little bit too many insects in the showers than comfortable. Mosqitues r everywhere even if u keep all doors closed. Mosqitue killer no effective. Open roof toilets and the worst is small lazards inside bedroom. Swimming pool not children friendly and fall down from one side. Well, it's the usual: this venue has been carefully architect- designed, yet the quality of workmanship, and the attention to maintenance means that it will be a 3-star slum in no time... Things don't work, repairs are nasty and unfortunate, there's more attention to clipping the hedge around the pool-filter than checking to see if the pool-filter is actually operating. It's lovely, but tragic. Not much variety in breakfast - same every day. Only one bike between four of us, we managed to borrow a second but suggest more bikes as its about 1.5km to beach. Nothing really to say. I recommended to the owner to build a small shop near the villas despite the fact that they provide free shuttles to down town. Location is abit secluded, nothing much to do but it's good if you just want to relax by the Layan beach or in the villa. Honestly, its hard to be negative abouth this place. If I had to pick one thing, I'd say that the location requires you to have transport or get taxi's. but they have scooters and cars available, so that never caused any grief. -weak wifi connection -insects. The villas are a little remote, with a shuttle service that could do it's rounds a little more often. However this is why we stayed here, so it depends on your point of view... Very isolated. The oven was broken so we couldn't use it. Communication to and from the villa is very costly. Everything was OK. It is just not location for people, who want to be "in the center of Phuket". The mattress is not comfy too hard to sleep. Location is not very good and too far from downtown and not very convenience for dinner and shopping. The AC in VIP1 is not in good condition. Needa turn on the fan at nite. area which villa located is very poor and you are not allowed to go out at night i think it's dangerous. Not too close to restaurants. A bit far from the main spots. Needs transportation every time you go out. Mattress to hard, more breakfast options required, maps of the local area should be given to guests. nothing, everything was good. - Location not so good for outside eating or shopping - need to take hotel shuttle bus to Layan beach at 11am and 1am which is not so convinient for us. Actually im book the Layan Villa but when im arrivel they as me to change to Seastone and said it is "UPGRADE"!. Some of the locks on the doors didn't work eg guest bedrooms and guest bathroom. a lot of animals everywhere far from malls.
