  We stayed at the Star Villa for 6 nights in Feb 2013. We were very happy with our choice and enjoyed a great level of service from Alan and Heidi, the British expats who own and run the villa. The Star Villa offers the best of both worlds - it's less than a 5 min drive from the centre of - Koh Tao Star Villa is an excellent place to stay on the Koh Tao island. The hotel is located on a hill and the view is beautiful. The hotel offers a pick-up service from the harbour, which is very convenient. You can also get a lift to the village daily. We booked the penthouse and there was plenty of room for our group of friends. The penthouse was very well equipped and we had hot water. There is even a laundry service in case you need it.   We love In Touch Resort. Our room was beautiful and so comfy with a lovely little patio area to sit out in. The room although a fan room was never too hot as the fan was really powerful. The resort is at the quiet, clean and more beautiful part of Sairee Beach. The restaurant is beautiful with comfy cushion/beds on the balcony part where you can s... what people say » it and watch the sunrise. All the staff there are really friendly. We loved it so much we are going back there to stay another 5 nights after we finis - The hotel is in a really good location, between the ferry piers and the bar area in Sairee Beach, 10 minutes walking to everywhere. We stayed in a bungalow, very fancy and relaxing, clean and comfortable. The resort restaurant is really good and cheap, but don't expect big dishes. Renting a motorbike for going around the island is a great option, and there are lots of places next to the hotel where you can find it. Also diving schools really close, and the beach is right across the street.

  Everything! The position is the best on Sairee Beach. The water out front is the clearest and cleanest along the whole beach and it sits in a beautiful little bay. The resort has snorkelling equipment free to use and it is easy to swim out to see colourful fish. The staff were always attentive and lovely and Caroline on the front desk was very helpful - I loved this place we stayed at a bungalow it was great not luxury but very unique on the beach. Location is great 5 min walk to all the shops. Staff are helpfull and the people at the restaurant are very nice too. I think this is the best spot on Sairee Beach. You can snorkle off the beach of the hotel but be carefull with the rocks on the shallow area... I also recommend the restaurant on the resort next door.   We loved this place. We stayed for 5 nights in April 2013. Zaneta & Michal were great hosts and were always on hand to answer any questions or queries we may have. Zaneta kindly took us out to show us the best place to buy various food items. The studio has a bbq for guests to use so we decided to have a couple in the time that we were there. ... what people say » We stayed in the studio downstairs so we had the use of a huge terrace area with plenty of sun loungers, comfy sofas and umbrellas. We also had our ow - Everything about this place was perfect for my stay. The apartment was beautifully furnished and well equipped. What made it stand out more than anything was how lovely Jeanetta and Michal were; they went above and beyond what I would have expected.
