  What a gem! Tucked away at the back of the village of Murren, Hotel Alpenblick is a little away from the main shopping/restaurant area, but still easily accessible. The bigger room had a balcony looking out over the valley and mountains. The owners were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was nice. Great place as a home base for hiking or skiing. The hotel has new owners. They are planning renovations for the fall 2013 and spring 2014. They will be replacing flooring, updating bathrooms and replacing mattr

  The Eiger Guesthouse was a perfect place to stay in Murren. It is easy to find, right across from the train station. It is convenient to everything, and the rooms are very quiet, clean and comfortable. Ema, the owner, makes you feel like family. All the staff are very helpful and friendly.   I got to tell you that the Berner Oberland area was the highlight of our trip thru Spain, France and Switzerland and our stay at Hotel Bellevue was a big part of that equation. The two owners were absolutely delightful and informative. The location was perfect and the room was very spacious and clean. Murren is also definitel - The Bellevue is a cozy Swiss Chalet with lots of natural light and delightful common spaces. The restaurant is without peer, but it is the Staff that makes you so glad you stayed here. They are super friendly, helpful, and easy going. We wish we could have stayed there longer.
