First of all we were welcomed by our lovely hostess who helped with our parking and bags. Our room was larger than advertised and very comfortable and well furnished. The house is very nice and feels more like an upmarket B&B than a hotel but no marks off for that. Everyone spoke perfect English and were very helpful. Lovely breakfast. Situated right on the lake and a nice walk into the city takes you along the waterfront towards the old town. The city of Luzern is lovely, clean and very te.

U made our holiday even better. -Close to town - easy bus access (1 minute walk to stop) or a 15-20 minute walk to town. -Had to leave early before breakfast was actually served and one of the staff offered to set out some items for us to grab on our way out prior to the staff setting everything out for the rest of the guests. -Breakfast had a wide selection and very filling. Maria was fabulous! She stayed up late to warmly greet us as our train was late and we had trouble finding the bus. The rooms were comfortable although plain. We had our own bathroom, which was nice. The breakfast is wonderful! Location is great, about 1 block from Lake Lucerne. Absolutely beautiful! Our stay exceeded our expectations. a very intereting landlady, very nice and experience on taking care of guests. old room but clean and comfortable. price is ok, a little bit higher than image,becauseit's in swiztland. free parking, very close to lake. backyard is under reconstruction. you will have a chance to have breakfast in yard in this summer. Villa Maria Luzern is a very pretty hotel in an excellent location to walk into Luzern along the lake. Luzern is a lovely town to do shopping, nice restaurants, picturesque scenery. There is only one shower to share many rooms in Villa Maira. Also the room needs more plugs. Shared bathroom. The central hallway was open and beautiful but loud. Could hear the echo of people coming and going. No air conditioning but will be installed soon. a bit far from train station and shopping points. but there is a direct bus 6 and 8 can go to and from train station within 10 minutes. Sharing toilet and having to go upstairs for the shower. that WC and shower are not in rooms and shared with others. One room has no TV. A house between the hotel and the lake, blocking the view. Breakfast is a little too simple. Need more sound proof. No AC. Our room was out the front and very noisy car traffic. Hotel had no air conditioning, which resulted to not much sleep.
