The hotel has excellent rooms with fabulous views of the lake and Lugano City. The wellness center and spa are well equipped too. The hotel delighted us with an upgrade which made our anniversary celebration memorable. Everything. It was a great hotel from a facilities point of view, and the people working there were top notch in friendliness and service.Villa Sassa is the next best thing to being at your home - so relaxing and such nice staff .!.

We arrived late friday evening, but could have something to eat in the Bar Lounge at 22:30 without any problem. Breakfast, location, quality of room - everythinhg is very good value for money. Perfect...lacked a tad of "warmth"...as in Swiss but overall superb. The location, the staff and the food as well as the Spa.facilities and location... great view. Spa, Restaurant, Location. Even if location give this charm to Villa Sassa (very nice views, peaceful and calm situation) it takes 10min from railway station to Hotel, and 15min from Hotel to center of city... Not too long, if we compared it with the other hotels in Lugano. But the first night we almost got lost late at night, despite of the indications of the receptionist, and it took 30min...The height in the bathroom where the bathtub was located was just not high enogh for a person of 186cm to take a shower standing. But sitting down it worked out fine.. the interior design lacks style and taste. Asked for a non smoking room, however, room smelled of smoke. Th hotel is very nice even though it feels a bit "unpersonal'.It's not a new hotel , the rooms were very spacious, the room service was punctual but the food was nothing special/poor for a four star hotel.
