Hotel had been fully refurbished and was well equipped, excellent decor and very clean. Breakfast was good, which could be taken outside on the verandah. Parking is good - either right outside the hotel or in excellent secure garage about 100m up the road. Parking must be reserved as they only have 5 spaces in the garage and at the hotel. Location

Excellent location which would be extremely difficult to beat. Even staying in the old town (Citta Vecchia) of Locarno is not as convenient as Hotel Rio Garni.

The location and food quality - Great location, very central and near the station ,shops and restaurants. Rooms were of average comfort and cleanliness. Shared bathroom was very clean. Buffet breakfast was very good and served until 10am. The hotel restaurant served excellent menu at very reasonable prices.

Jim was so great! He's such a nice person! He gave us some nice tips to hike in the Valle Maggia. Also he borrowed us some bikes to go to Ascona. The pool and the garden are so great! The rooms are very comfortable and the loft is an experience! He also served a nice breakfast.

Considering Swiss prices and popularity of Locarno the hotel is very
reasonably priced though anywhere else in Europe you would expect more
for this money (E.G. wifi and modern facilities). The hotel is very
clean and comfy plus has perfect service and good location.
