The cosy Berghotel Derby is a quiet place in Fiesch close to the narrow Rhone river, only a 5-minute walk from the centre. It is the perfect place for your hiking, biking or climbing holidays. The Derby hotel is located in the wonderful Goms valley in the unique Aletsch area with the longest glacier of Europe (Unesco protection). The Berghotel Derby is well known for its balanced breakfast buffet. Half board (dinner) is available as well in cooperation with a neighbouring restaurant. Last but not least, take a nightcap at the bar, offering selected whiskeys and first-class wines. Guests enjoy free tea and coffee throughout the day. There is a modern shoe drying machine at your disposal and a first class bike service available. A free pick-up service from the Fiesch Train Station is provided.

Staff really friendly.Fridge and tea and coffee making facilities in the room were a real luxury.We had a bit of lawn and outside seating.Lots of choices for breakfast served in a light airy dining room. easy access from the main road and easy to walk to shops and restaurants.Good view of the river . An easy day trip to Zermatt. Great value for money. The manager is as friendly and enthusiastic as she appears in the hotel's web site. She made great suggestions and handled everything perfectly. The hotel's situation hanging over the edge of the wild, tree-filled Rhone gorge, with the sound of the rushing water just outside, is beautiful. The bathroom was nicely remodeled.
