  We only stayed one night on a stop-over on a driving holiday en-route to Switzerland/Italy. The room was large and clean. Staff very friendly, breakfast good. - one of the best hotels ive ever stayed in, i could not fault it in any way :)

  Staff was very friendly. It was extremely quiet at night and in the morning which was so appreciated. The beds were also very comfortable. - The hotel was just perfectly located in town, you are felt very welcome and food lovely.

  In Switzerland, anything that cuts the outrageous cost is good and self catering helps a lot. The Studio appartment had everything but a kettle though the coffee maker provided hot water for tea. The owner helpfully provided a hairdryer as our adapter didn't work (Swiss plugs different to the rest of Europe). - Very accomodating and friendly owne... what people say » rs.   Andermatt is a charming, unspoiled little village right now, although that is about to change as plans are underway to convert this into a destination resort. If you want to get away from status seekers, don't care about luxury services, and don't need to be babied on the ski slopes, this is a good place to try if you are already living in Switzer... what people say » land. The proprietors of this hotel exemplify that: good, honest Swiss mountain folk with simple habits and tastes. I liked the beds, too. - Yes, it's old and a little run down, but staff were very friendly, the internet worked just fine, and by Swiss standards, it's a good deal. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the gondola, and about the same to the train station. Breakfast was ok but nothing special.

  We arrived at Hotel Sonne late evening and the hotel was lit up like a Christmas Cottage, we were cycling from the UK to Rome. My first thought was, this will do nicely. The hotel looked after our every need, they stored our bicycles securely and tended to all our requirements without hesitation. Overall an excellent hotel with a first class staff... what people say » . - As a pretty family run hotel with many years standing the owner and staff were very relaxed but always professional providing top service and meeting all my personal requests outside of their remit. I felt very at home which is great when you are in the middle of a mountain range!

Although the building itself is old, rooms and ensuite bathrooms are modern; comfy beds, decent showers etc. Very good, high speed wifi accessible everywhere (free). - The room was priced very well given others in Andermat.
