  Very friendly staff - special thanks to Maria - she was very helpful and pleasant - solved several questions we could not help. Nice modern hostel- hotel with clean and good-serviced rooms, comfortable kitchen, not far from the center and metro. There was no window in our room (some rooms are a little bit "under-ground" - but it is really no matte... what people say » r, as you just do not notice it - everything inside is at very good level, including ventilation,and as a plus - very quietly). Good price-quality lev - The best staff we ever met! Helpful and super-friendly, always available for a chat with plenty of suggestions on what to do and where to go in Stockholm. The hostel is new, modern and absolutely clean. We loved the kitchen area with plenty of facilities to cook and relax, there is free wifi all over the hostel and a computer with free internet, great to plan your day. The board at the entrance with the must-see places in Stockholm another brilliant idea. Definitely a hostel to recommend.

  When we arrived we were welcomed by a charming and helpful receptionist. Although we were early we could book in the room straight away. The room was very clean , the beds comfortable - one of it was bunk, but I knew about it in advance so no problem there. The breakfast buffet was varied and it was plenty there, good coffee. Good Wi-Fi reception.... what people say » Would be nice if they offered free coffee and tea for guest as so many other hostels in Stockholm do, specially since there are no facilities to make - Location is very good, not so far from city center. If you have a travel card location is not a problem at all. It takes about half a hour to get to Gamla stan by walk and about 10 min to nearest subway station. Breakfast isgood. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly. Luggage room is very useful, especially if you have late flight. In few words, it's good value for money.

  This hostel is great value for money for Stockholm and quite comfortable. Our end was a like a nice hotel, with the use of hostel facilities (ie cheap washing machine, kitchen, kids toys, guidebooks, info). The room was equipped almost like a hotel ie with hairdryer, phone. It was quite a large place with many groups of teenagers staying there. Buffet breakfast was available for a charge and had a - Walking distance to city centre/train station but there is a tube station close by as well as bus stops. Easy to find. Close to shops and restaurants. Quiet area, near park. Sufficient breakfast option. Room/bathroom (en suite) size is more than adequate and bed comfortable. Room looked new. Being there in the winter, the room was nice and warm. Many TV channels including programmes in English. Can even buy stamps at the hotel.

They were constantly changing the environment, new seat covers, repainting the kitchen, and so on, but they always got whatever little task there was done during the day while,most people were out.   Location was the main attraction for me towards this hostel. Located right in Old Town, you're right in the center of Stockholm. In addition, this is not a traditional hostel. While you do 'share a room' and the bathrooms with others, there's a huge room divided into smaller bedrooms for individual travelers, with glass walls and curtains and a s... what people say » pecial key code to get into your individual room. I guess I'd call it sort of a hotel/hostel hybrid. It's a neat place to stay, and in my opinion wort - This place felt so much like home from the very first moment I arrive with my sister. It was very clean and for the money you spend you do not expect that. Location is great. I did not need to take any means of transport since many attractions(Royal Palace, Diugarden, Fotografiska museum) are in walking distance of maximum 30'. For those who do not like walking though, the Gamla Stan station is only 3' walk from the Old Town Lodge. I would definitely recommend it and if I ever go back I would s

I didn't try the shared bathroom but only the toilets since I slept my two first nights (3 nights in total) in a double-bed room, but absolutely everything was wonderful : - comfortable quite big beds with strong woody frames (no noise) - easy key system with card or magnetic "plastic coin" - big case for valuable belongi... what people say » ngs in the "multiple beds bedroom" - everything was modern : bathrooms, doors, furniture, kitchen, ... - big kitchen with lots of utensils for cookin - The kitchen is a very nice addition to the stay at Skanstulls. Since food is so expensive in Stockholm, the kitchen gives a nice break to buy food and cook it. There are 2 grocery stores across the street too, In the hostel is a lot of tourist info which was really nice. I had a late check in that I forgot to mention and I almost wasn't able to get into the hostel. I caught the staff member at the last minute as she was leaving and she was so kind about my mistake. She was a very helpful girl
