We spent two nights at the hotel. The staff were helpful and the service was very good. Basic but clean rooms. The wi-fi was working well in the room. The food is also quite good. Breakfast is standard issue fare in Sri Lankan B&Bs (toast/eggs/fresh juice/tea/fruits) but on the second night we had an enjoyable Sri Lankan curry dinner. -

Many reviews don't do this place justice. We found all staff from the owner down mega-helpful & friendly. Our room was extremely comfortable and the whole place spotless.
There was occasional building noise from the new rooftop restaurant they're building, which will be spectacular when finished in a couple of months time.

AffSet up in the hills behind the Tooth, this hotel is a delightful
respite from the city below. A drink on arrival set the scene. The rooms
are pleasant and for the dollar extremely good value. The breakfast was
plentiful and the staff accommodating. Families, couples of all ages
would find this handy to town hotel appealing. About 5 mins from the

This is a great hotel if you're on vacation. Everyone is so friendly and go way out of their way to make sure you get the best out of your stay in Kandy. The greatest thing ever was that I told them I'd like to take some cooking lessons in Kandy (but there's none), so their chef made some time in his busy schedule to teach me how to make curry. That was unbelievable. I can't imagine any other hotel being that intimate and friendly. -

We got in before check in time but it was no bother for the front staff. They very quickly had our room ready giving us to use the free wifi in the lobby, we were treated to an ice cold drink. Jehan went out of his way and this was reflected in the other staff members including the dining room staff. We wanted a room overlooking the pool and got it despite being busy with the esala festivities. The room was large, clean and the toilet was great.

My buddy and I's stay at Majestic Tourist was beyond excellent. What initially drew us was the price, though the hospitality, food, and views were nothing less than the best.
