We had a wonderful experience at Amya Hills, Kandy. It was our 20th anniversary in Nov 2013. To our pleasant surprise, they decorated the bed with flowers with Happy Anniversary written on bed. After Dinner, hotel staff gave us another surprise by offering complimentary Anniversary Cake. Staff was very courteous, professional and prompt. Food was excellent. Views of the mountains were very good from our room. I recommend this hotel to everyone who would like to have great memories.

The food (although slightly highly priced) was very tasty and the breakfast spread was scrumptious.I Would strongly recomend this property for famalies with kids and for young couples.One of the best places to detox and enjoy the calm. The staff are friendly and ready to go out of way to help you. The hotel is located on the mountain...therefore you have a beautiful view. The staff is very friendly. The food is good, huge amount of breakfast choices in the morning. Very nice and clean pool. Hotelroom is very clean and comfy. Nice to see monkeys walking around. And the massage in the spa was really nice. The architecture of the entrance/lobby is stunning, the gym is good - the terrace of the restaurant and the big breakfast buffet - the staff is very friendly. Thier nature and thier view i totally recommend amaya for my friend for thier honeymoon or to bring thier wifes here its very romantic place. The hotel is located on top of a mountain, the view is just amazing. You can also book a guided trekking trip for 500 Rupees per person. Great views, and we liked the dining and poolside areas. The bathroom is clean and good, but we expected a bit more from the shower (not detachable from the wall and in the bath tub...nothing wrong, just a bit budget). Due to the beautiful mountain location you are a bit far away from the city centre...but any tuk tuk or taxi can bring you there. The tv in the room is very small - no wifi in the room you must go in the lobby and the evening it s freezing. The beds were not comfortable. Staff were ok, but not as welcoming as expected. Variety of the Food (not that wide range), roads to hotel were closed for 2 days without any notification to hotel guests!, Bathroom cleanses, Staff tries to hassle you for money. only one comment - although a wonderful selection for main course was provided, some of the meat dishes were a little tough. (Starters and deserts were brilliant). The rooms were not so nice as other Amaya hotels - I guess they are a little older. Too far from the city. They charge me more than I expect by doing strange calculation. Flawless. Enternet only in the Lobby. nothing. Attitude of staff even though their services are acceptable. Towels hygiene. Don't go to these hotel if you plan to go sight seeing its isolated on top of mountain. The road taking us to the hotel was terrible, single lane for a 7 minute drive with cars going up and down a single lane! Far from the city. No wifi in the rooms. Hotel was a little run down. Too big 100 rooms. very crowded at dining periods (good for large groups). Rooms a little smelly(septic) and not serviced well (probably due to size). The rooms were a bit old and shabby, bathroom wasn't nice at all. Food was ok except for the huge tour groups they have here filling up all the tables. Couldn't open balcony door because of aggressive monkeys. The road to the hotel is very long & had some wholes. The food in the restaurant is not good & needs improvements in the menu The beds had some noises. The monkeys are annoying the hotel guests as they enter any room its window was open. Some of the staff lacking interest especiall in the resturant. Room facilities. Price. The female reception staff were not helpful and aloof. Poor Staff service Ladies at the Front desk, are extremely poor in service and subborn.
