Deco on 44- one night is not enough This superb boutique hotel offers elegant Art Deco luxury in the heart of Galle Fort. From the moment you check in nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they are on hand to ensure your stay is as perfect as possible, Rooms are generous in size, well decorated with a large bed and all of the modern amenities. Ours was one of the three ground floor poolside rooms which created a calming and peaceful oasis from the outside heat and hustle & bustle. Turn.
all reviews » The original British art deco style has been beautifully maintained and enhanced, whilst the bedrooms have an elegant modern edge. The staff were aware (from my passport details) that I had my birthday whilst there, and everyone made a point of wishing me a happy birthday. The meals were excellent: a seriously classy chef! Excellent service in every area. Above all the staff, who were charming and helpful at all times, especially the manager Dilshan. This hotel is a real gem - the thirties art deco and traditional colonial styles work well together to provide a stylish relaxing ambience. The breakfast and restaurant food are excellent. Beautifully designed, luxurious, fantastic staff, food, and the room was amazing - huge with great AC, and a wonderful bathroom. The customer service was second to none. Lovely art deco hotel in the centre of Galle. We stayed in the spacious Star suite. The food is also excellent.
