Staying at Casa Lucas was the most wonderful experience. The whole family were so welcoming. A hard day's walk on the Camino was rewarded with a room situated in a beautiful location, generous Spanish hospitality and an excellent traditional gourmet meal - the perfect ending to the perfect day. I thoroughly recommend Casa Lucas - you can arrange pick-up from Melide or Arzua. I will return.
all reviews » Beautiful setting, very peaceful. Small, family-run - e.g. very helpful with offering me a lift back up the hill (land slopes steeply down to the lake). Lovely dog! Good food. Super comfortable bed with lovely linen in characterful old building (original timber rafters etc.), remodelled sensitively. Very friendly and helpful staff. We were picked up from Arzua and brought back the next morning. Pepe drove my wife to bus stop as she was unfit to walk the Camino that morning. Fixed choice meal but food was excellent and very good value. Relaxed secluded setting away from the Camino. The setting is incredible, the food is wonderful and what fantastic people!! We stayed 2 nights and everything was outstanding. We were pampered for our last 2 nights walking the Camino before Santiago. We were picked up and dropped off again to start our days walk. Thank you!!. Family were so obliging and helpful...collected us from nearby Arzua and provided us with a beautiful dinner and breakfast...we were able to relax over a glass of wine, altogether a fantastic experience...decor was vintage and everything was so clean...would recommend!. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They provided shuttle service to and from the Camino. We stayed an extra night because it was so good. The food was outstanding! This was an all around great experience. Beautiful view of the lake! Warm and friendly hospitality! The food and wine was fabulous! A great place to stay anytime! We were two women walking the camino!. Lovely family running business. We were picked up from town and dropped back following morning. The views are superb. The dinner was very flavourful. lovely people...nice food just for us. nice quite enviroment. Family dog had recently had pups and spent a large proportion of the night barking at shadows. Nothing!. Loved everything. The bathroom and furniture were outdated. as there is no ac in the room at least the windows shud have some nets when kept open as too many flies enter the room. if the stay is one day its to far from centre as we where on the camino prefer to sat in the centre.
