When I asked for toast they showed me how to turn on the machineand expected me to do the rest. Which I am aware how to use the toasterbut only when it is turned on. When the water was empty they did notreplace it. Staff cud use some customer training. They seemed veryarrogant and rude. We had extremely poor service in the restaurant, and were ignored for 10 minutes by 2 members of staff, when we were 2 of 4 people in the restauarant. This resutled in us leaving the restaurant and not returning during our stay. This was extremely disappointing as our stay in the hotel was excellent, however did not mar our stay.We found that the soundproofing in the hotel was not great and with tiled floors in all the rooms the noise level at times was loud particularly as we were on the 1st floor with 3 floors above us. We think the Posit restaurant is a little expensive. Sound proofing in the room could be improved. breakfast rather expensive but good choice. Perhaps if we had had a car it would have been difficult to park nearby!. Housekeeping felt it unnecessary to completely make the beds each day. Mini bar fridge either didnt work or was under powered - i.e. it didnt keep drinks cold. The lack of good TV reception, we had a very poor picture no sign of the so called satellite channels, especially BBC world news!!. Access to the hotel by car: Using GPS even it took 20 minutes to find a nearby place to park a car and took the luggage to the hotel. A really nice hotel tarnished by the relative indifference of staff on reception desk, not particularly helpful or forthcoming with information or help. The taste of the tap water was awful. The rooms are not really quit, and a very poor signal of wirelesson our room. Poor breakfast - some of the cereal dispensers did not work, and the milk was sour on two days. Other than this it was really good.Staff could have been more helpful and welcoming. The wireless internet connection was unreliable. The facliity was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel and this was a disappointment. The manager was not, in my opinion, very helpful in dealing with the poor reception in my room. I was not alone - several guests had similar problems.The directions to the hotel, as there was substantial road works, were totally inadequate. There was also a lack of Bar area. If you wanted a drink you used the restaurant and sat down at restaurant tables, if the restaurant had been very busy there would have been no area for the Bar. The sound proofing of the rooms is not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. In fact, you can hear absolutely everything that goes on in the adjacent rooms. This is by far the worst point of the hotel.We were upset not to be able to get room service after 11.00 pm and found the staff in the restaurant extremely arrogant. cable tv no to good. Poor connection and very slow wireless internet. No coffee/thea facilities, minibar didn't cool very well. It would have been nice to have had a full length mirror in the bedroom. Also a shaving mirror would have been welcome. The food menu at the hotel was very expensive in comparison to other restaurants. Availability of a room/shower on our last day, with a late flight, would have been welcome.The noise isolation between rooms is not good. Parking is difficult and hotel parking very expensive. restaurant staff (breakfast), noisy doors. The rooms were VERY noisy - the cleaners start at 09:00 and they scrape the beds across the floor! The room doors are impossible to close without banging and the corridors echo the noise! If you like to sleep after 09.00 in the morning this is not the hotel for you!! There is no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. We were very disappointed to say this is a four star hotel.
