The hotel was next to everything and it was also located near the waterfront so no need to walk up and down steep hills. It was a very short walk to Biosphera shopping centre and in the old town. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble!! Emma in the restaurant was just fantastic and there were plenty of sun beds at the poolside ( which was very clean). A great place to holiday.
all reviews » It is an ideal location for the beaches, walks,harbour ,restaurants etc. No steep hills to be climbed to get back to your accommodation. The beds had real sprung mattresses and were very easy to sleep on. The staff were very friendly and the apartment was cleaned every couple of days,including a sheet change. Location was excellent. Out the door & up some steps to the left and you are in the old town Puerto del Carmen (near the Biosfera), out & to the right and you are on a small quiet beach and out & straight on & you are on the main beach (near the Fariones), and price wise was good. I liked the location and space within the apartment. The night security was also good. As the only female in the group, the rest were staying in the apartments, the security guard would only allow my son to walk me to my room following a night out. The cleanliness of the Costa volcan and the pleasant staff are first class and the central location is very convenient. the Aparthotel is also excellent value for money. You have everything on your doorstep. Good value for money. Very spacious and would be a comfortable choice for a long stay I imagine. The Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Very relaxing atmosphere. Location fantastic between the Old Town and the New Town. Restaurant very relaxing and Staff excellent. Pool very user friendly. Sunbeds always available. staff very friendly and helpful, We got floor we requested, Cleaning staff very good and pleasant, location perfect for anyone who prefers the old town, and a skip hop and a jump to a lovely small beach.Price perfect. We have stayed at the hotel 3 times now and each time the receptionists were more than helpful. The location is great for us as we like the Old Town area. I loved everything!!. The bar closed at 6.00pm so we had to leave to get food or a drink. We were there at the end of February. Pool was a little on the small side which during busier months could be a bit crowded but you do still have the option of 2 beaches. Lift is a bit small & rickety but the stairs was good exercise!!. I did'nt like leaving. The beds were very old and uncomfortable. Could feel the springs all the way through. A microwave would be a nice touch and also there was no remote for the tv which was a but inconvenient. The availability of the Internet a bit limited. apartments could do with a bit of TLC, nothing major. We like to cook while on holiday and the apartments only have a 2 ring burner. The only issue I had is that we did have ants in our apartment. However we were on the ground floor and our balcony was going on to the pool area. And they were isolated to the kitchen. no complaints. All the staff from the apartments were lovely, but the woman who works in / runs the Pool Bar - she was the most unhelpful woman we ever came accross. I would assume from her attitude that she has nothing to do with the Costa Volcan, because, if you asked her anything about the Pool / Hotel / Surroundings, she was so rude. In our opinion, she should not be working there!. nothing. Would like to have a microwave. Seems silly to charge for the remote control for the tv. Safe located in kitchen area of apt, no room to store food due to this. Noise from neighbouring apartments seemed excessive, obviously no insulation at all in walls. nothing. the free WIFI is very intermittent & drops off all the time & the only channels on the tv were spanish & CNN, it would be nice to have BBC world wide on at least. Hotel a bit dated,. Nothing. Extra Pillow would be welcome. Only choice of single beds. Pool was cold. I hated to leave. the Wifi doesn't work very well. There was an investation of small ants in the apartment Could do with a microwave in the kitchen. It was grand. Not enough sockets in the kitchenette one for kettle,one for toaster. The sitting room couch very uncomfortable. Beds very narrow&they should be using fitted bottom sheets as the sheets been used never stayed on bed. External steps leading upto higher level street requires a handrail on both walls to assist people with restricted mobility. You pay for Sky TV but only 1 channel , CNN,is available in English. Cotton towels with no pile-really scratchy. bar and its prices. the grumpy one on reception. only 1 all the others were lovely. Pool too deep for safety. Can be noisy at night. Lack of English programs on T.V. Safe very expensive. For the first time had a problem with ants. On the 5th floor and asked for the 4th so no view. Safe cost overpriced ; spa and sauna over advertised ; morning bird chorus; music from pub. Lady in bar can be rude at times--moody. I did not like leaving. i cannot find anything bad to say about this hotel. we think air conditioning is a must for this apartment. possibly sound proof the area next to drunken monkey pub, so as to get a night sleep. Dawn chorous (but thats just nature). Charging for a full week for safe when there was just 2 days!. Stairs as we had 2 young children and it was advertised as a 3 bed but was 2 bedrooms and couch in living room so had to share room with 2 daughters. could be a bit cleaner around the pool area, a fair bit of disturbance late at night which was disappointing.
