The room was cozy and clean, with a view of the beautiful mountains and sheep grazing in the back. The staff was very helpful, and even let us cancel our last night when we realized we had miscalulated and had to catch a train. Probably the most helpful thing a hotel staffer did for us on our entire trip through Spain! Thank you!. Greta location; lovel views. We were initially put in a room "in the Gods" but we changed to a spacious room with a weire 4 poster (without drapes; just the frame ?!) The parking behind the hotel was free and secure also not covered). A 5 minute walk into the town is well worth it with loads of great restaurants and bars.
all reviews » The hotel was well located on the edge of Potes with plenty of parking space and a short walk to the town centre. Our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable with a mountain view. Buffet breakfast was also good. Good base camp to explore mountain trails near to Picos de Europa. 20 mins drive to Fuente De. Friendly stuff but they don't speak English at all. Nice but small room. For the dinner it is better to go downtown. Location - just in the entrance to Potes with parking. Big and nice rooms, especially if you're asked for back room (not to the main road). The stuff is very welcome. Huge ,new room on 4th floor with great views,very comfortable large bed, superb food(we had lechazo), friendly and helpful staff. Pores and the area are stunning,. The coach loads of tourists were rather noisy and whilst this is not the fault of the hotel, some consideration to other guests should have bene shown. Breakfast selection could be better. Nothing really. Nothing. A bit quiet in the bar and restaurant compared with other places in central Potes- would probably appreciate this if I was a little older. Room next to elevator and was a bit noisy on occasioon, also some noise from next door bathroom. The recycling lorry arriving at 0530hrs every morning. breakfast. No air con/ temp control. Usual lightweight construction meant that noise travelled between walls this was the only negative. The name 'Valdecoro' or the address was not listed in my vehicle sat nav.When we eventually found it the name on the front of the building was 'Paco Wences'.The hotel was lacking in'atmosphere' and the staff should be taught how to smile. Bit run down.
