When we arrived at this lovely, bright, airy hotel, the lady on reception tookmcharge of our luggage and asked dor our passports ro photocopy etc. she suggested we might like a glass of complimentary cava or wine in the hotel's adjacent bar / small restaurant whist she conducted the formalities of the check in - nice touch to the welcome. We were travelling with our daugther to celebrate her 25th birthday, and I think I mentioned this when asking for 2 rooms close or next to each other, forgett.
all reviews » I would call the decor "modern chic", it is new, clean, and tasteful. The rooms are large, the windows double glazed and shuttered as well, so it is eerily quiet at night and very dark in the morning if you leave the shutters on. We had the continental breakfast, very reasonable at 6 euros, upstairs on the terrace with full view over the bay. Some say the location is outside the old city, well it may be, but the walk is only 10 minutes and is a very pleasant walk as well. The staff was friendly and attentive and did everything they could to make us feel comfortable. They had a bottle of Cava on ice waiting for us in our room and a lovely handwritten note welcome us and "happy birthday" to my girlfriend even though I had not mentioned it. The room, (Junior Suite) was spacious and quite with a great view of the cathedral from the bathroom, and the upstairs terrace looked onto the sea. Friendly staff willing to do the extra things to make our stay special. Excellent massage and private spa/sauna facilities. Great views which if anything were understated in their photos (rarely the case)! Location was a short stroll to 2-3 beaches, short 10 min drive from airport, great restaurants nearby and also a very short taxi to the main markets. A new hotel which opened this year - the hotel was extremely comfortable, clean and lovely views on the roof top. Clean sheets and towels every night. Breakfast delicious and staff all so friendly. 10 minutes walk to the centre of Palma along the city/cathedral wall. I would highly recommend. A very quiet spot - no traffic noise!. The design of the entire hotel is very tasteful. Good concept. Staff is super friendly. Location is very good; not to far from the centre and not to crowdy. Fantastic breakfast! Oranges squeezed for you, wonderful spannish ham and delicious youghurts & muesli. Friendly personnel that helped us renting really good racer bicycles. We loved our stay beautifully renovated hotel on the edge of the old town. Staff and food were also amazing. Loved the breakfast terrace. Would stay again. There was an unfortunate faint smell of sewage in the hallway, the result of ancient plumbing no doubt, and for some reason during the renovation they decided to not install a bidet in the bathrooms, which is a let down for those used to having one. Also, there is no restaurant in the hotel, only a coffee shop, but hey, who cares? You are 10 minutes walk away from more restaurants then you know what to do with. There is a little bit of road noise that you can hear from the terrace. The King bed was two king singles zipped together which is very common nowadays but if I had to fault something it would be that. Being a new hotel it is in a square which needs looking after - I expect it will be developed slowly but rather sad as only sign of life in this square - obviously the hotel can't look after the square they don't own!! Rather unkept - leaves, fallen branches from the trees etc. It is a new hotel which brings 'normal' issues as staff trying to find their best flow and some construction omissions to be solved. The breakfast is limited compared with what the big 5 stars hotels offer. The only thing was not working really good is the Wi-Fi. It was quite pricey for the area and the view. Inhouse food choice very limited, not many restaurants nearby aswell, have to walk at least 10 - 15 minutes to get to any restaurants. Breakfast should be included. The bar is plane and too quite: no action. A restaurant is missing. Poor breakfast. Breakfast is very expensive for what u get. you rate this as a 5 star hotel. not in my books. there is no proper dining room.
