Great welcoming from Olga in the reception. Fantastic extra transfer service to the airport in the morning. Clean room with comfortable bed and nice shower, the extra babycot was allready installed when we came to the room. We left earlier than breakfast time in the morning but we could collect our breakfast the night before - great service!. The facility was modern and beautiful in a simple sort of way. It was extrememly clean and quiet. The staff were very helpful to us as foreign travelers. When we asked for directions to the airport, the driver of their shuttle invited us to follow him, so we had a direct escort back to our rental car return.
all reviews » 1. There was a bus to the hotel from the airport. Even though my flight was quite late, the hotel bus came to get me. 2. The personnel at the hotel. The lady at the front desk was wonderful--welcoming, warm and she spoke English!. I liked the fact the hotel was close to the airport but seemed a distance away as area was quiet, great park nearby to walk, jog, etc and great restaurant 5 mins walk away, "Madrid" also free wireless. The family that runs the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. The room was very nice, comfortable, and quiet. Next time I'm in Madrid I will certainly stay there again. The employees were really friendly and helpful even with my bad spanish. It was a perfect place to stay to get to the airport.The staff is really amazing, very nice people. For us who were in Madrid for a short stay, the location close to the airport is interesting and the hotel offers a shuttle free of charge. The hotel is pretty new.The hotel was simple and clean. It's not the hotel's fault, but four taxi drivers at Barajas airport did not know the street, and the one that took me got lost then charged me a large supplement in addition to the fare before he would give me my case. Perhaps there could be details in advance that the closest metro station is Alameda de Osuna on line 5, as then some people might chose to print a map and walk there. frustrating because the internet was down, but i acknowledge that was probably a temporary problem and there really isn't anything around if you don't have a car.Breakfast was disappointing...some cheese and fruit would have been nice; croissant not too fresh. Very minor details were: Shower knob slippery (inoperable) with soap and liddle shampoo bottle was didfficult to open in shower. The breakfast was only acceptable, i.e., plastic wrapped croissants or toasted air bread. It may not be the hotel's fault but the internet was extremely slow.There was no lounge area to sit if you wanted to be out of your room.The room size is too small. There was not even a chair! The shower model was new for me (there are different models in the US), and I would appreciate if a staff teaches me how to use it. I did not like the light desigh - to use it you need a card, and it goes off automatically too soon - inconvenient!. just the breakfast which is a bit sad. Breakfast could be improved. The staff can,t speak/understand English as much as needed. But they were very friendly.A couple of the employees were a bit rude. However, there were a couple of employees that were really helpful. . Internet didn't always seem to work well, staff barely speaks english. not easy to find. I had a large whisky in the bar did not enquire the price and the next dqy it was revealed to be 29 Euros.Very poor breakfast. the night I arrived, i asked for a wake up call 0700, airport shuttle 0900. Olga wrote it in the book,but staff forgot. major problems at airport,almost missed 15 hour flight.the bed. Better recepcion services and specially better breakfast.expensive beverages at the bar, location. yes ...in the morning of departure never got my breakfast ( included in room price ) !!! I asked the night of arrival if I could have early breakfast and the answer was : no ...do not worry the girl will be here at 7.00 am by 7.15 am the cafeteria was still closed ....and bus for airport was waiting for me . There is nothing at all in the vicinity , no bars, no restaurants or cafeterias.....no breakfast at 0700. The lack of dinner possibilities. lack of ice, air conditioning. Needs improved personal service. hotel staff is not paying much attention to care and reply to questions, breakfast is all but fresh (no fruit, no cereals, only industrial packaged bakery), and most important the hotel is highly noisy at night due to hotel staff shouting at reception desk ! I would kindly suggest to the management to review the basic lines on service performance. paid for breakfast and airport transfer but as flight was too early didn't get either or a doscount, far from anywhere so no on site restaurant or anywhere local to eat, lots of noise from people in corridor and flushing of toilet/ showering from other rooms, very small shower.
