Ans except the ( I guess daughter) that works everyday from morning till afternoon ,the parents that run the hostel doesn't speak English but extremely polite people.

The location is extremely great! near the metro and plenty of shops and there is always movement around, but it´s not noisy unconfortable in the night. I totally recommend it, excellent location,.
The family that owns the hostal are delightful, they went above and beyond our expectation. The hostal is perfectly located in the city center of Madrid. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

The ring-bell and the phones to loud day/night, first impression not excellent and not easy to find.
Be aware : it's a bit noisy, since it's a pension, not an hotel. The owner and her parents have their apartment next to the reception, so you hear them quite loudly by day and night. That being said, you get used to it very quickly and you'll soon prefer to focus on what Madrid has to offer! :-).

Rooms are small and basic but very clean. Noise travels throughout rooms too easily. OK for 1/2 nights but no longer.
Windows on a noisy street at night; often phone ringing could be annoying, a slight smell from the bathroom; very thin walls; basic but OK for the price it cost.

Often very noisy. The owners (elderly couple) live in the Hostel too & do not speak English. Can feel like you're living in their home. Upgraded room had no external window, just a small internal one.
