The simple bedrooms of the Arti II are adequately furnished and you can choose either en suite or shared bathrooms. Originally a student residence, the Arti II has now been converted into excellent value accommodation. The Arti II also serves a good value breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also grab a snack or refreshment from the vending machines. Make the short stroll over to Madrid's Royal Palace to see the impressive gardens. In the evening, choose from an excellent choice of cinemas, theatres, bars and restaurants along Gran Vía. This vibrant aveneue is located just a short distance from the Arti II.

Nice staff, really central and great value for money! :). staff was friendly. Cheap and affordable. Plaza Espana was really nice. nice view from the window.The Hotel is very cheape and the location is perfect. Only discomfort is very poor breackfast:)!. I liked the location and price!!!. The toilets and shower facilities were modern and kept clean. The hotelseemed fairly safe and was generally clean.

Single room for 20e = l16, nothing special but I haveto mention that it is not a hotel it's a university campus house, whereyou should not expect room service etc. there is a nice tv room and avending machine, some sofas and a microwave oven, 24h. reception but Isugest keep your key with you as sometimes they are out and you can haveproblem with access to room.Rooms very basic, but clean, lots of wardrobe space and draws. As a one night stop it is close to a lovely park, and centrally located, good value for money. Good price, lots of bathrooms in the corridor, clean, central location close to subway. Good value for money and great location. Great for people on low budget and low comfort needs, just like a hostel with private rooms. It´s central location as my school/place of work is on Gran Via. Not a lot honestly, except that the cleaner staff were friendly which was nice.Near the commercial center. Nothing in particular.The front desk lady took forever to check us in (20 mins), and still made mistakes. She charged us two nights,but put down only one night, and put us in one room, even though I reserved two singles. the morning the cleaning staff was trying to get us to pack up and leave. No one spoke english and I didn't speak spanish, so it was hectic; the cleaning staff however were extremely polite and nice. Your front desk lady is not good at her job. She takes 15-20 minutes to check in one person. There was close to 15 people waiting to register and we were getting annoyed and bored. Some left to walk around. I registered on-line...two people, two seperate rooms. She put us in for one night and in the same room and charged two nights. This caused serious problems, because no one spoke english.the reception is in another building, so i had to go back and forth. The breakfast, advertised as contiental, consisted of a slic of toastand a cup of hot chocolate. Whilst the quality was good, I would expecta little more from a 'continental' breakfast. The hotel was alsodifficult to find as there were no signs and we had to ask fordirections.No air condition, not so easy to set up a shower, sometimes water iscold and sometimes worm. Rooms very basic, window didnt lock. No air condition, I bought a small fan for 9 euro and turn it on 24h.butsometimes it was still not enough. Breakfast (from 8 - 10:30) = tost +jam or cake + coffee or tea (It is not what I expected) Staff doesn'tspeak english at all,You have to have cash as they don't accept cardseven they claim that they do. It's a low budget stay. Recommended onlyif you realy have to calculate every euro. It was a shame the reception staff spoke no English, was hard to ask for assistance with anything, so didnt bother. Another traveller helped us book a taxi in the end. Also very noisey at night, car horns beeping outside until gone 2am!. Very confusing when the address on the booking confirmation goes to the dorm building and not to the reception building. When we came there we had to check in different hotel first, which was a bit confusing. Also the breakfast is served in the restaurant near by which was not communicated to us clearly.Being treated as if I were trying to cheat the hotel out of owed fees. a) The hotel is split at three! Rooms, breakfast and check-in are all three in different buildings b) Even at the check-in they don't speak English c) Building is not that nice. Staff didnt speek any english and didnt try. Check in was at a completly different building to the address we had. At the building where our room was the man on the door moves up to the second door no one told us this when we went out and left the key and could not get back into our room. there was a sign but in spanish so no help. a sign said please wait in english. nothing to do with the keys!!. The beds are very uncomfortable.The room was not air-conditioned. The breakfast was terrible, better not to offer it ..There was nobody who speaks English :/ And there wasn't fridge in room, this is a big problem in spanish hot temperatures... Everything is situated over a large area. Please attempt to carry outeverything in just one location if possible, as I was constantly goingbackwards and forwards.The staff did not speak English and were useless when I wanted to bookan extra night. The checking in system is a joke. Requiring you to go to a completelydifferent building to register and collect your keys before returning tothe original place.Its actually 2 hotels and wasn't told you had to check into a differant one that was booked at. no A/C, small rooms, staff didn't speak english, reception and check-in in another hostel. There was a lot and I do understand it was a hostel but there was no internet in the hostal even though the website stated that there was, at one point the was no hot water, the bed and pillow made it ridiculously difficult to slept and this, I discovered was not just my room as I found out after speaking to a few other people staying there. Also breakfast was not what I would call continental. We had to do check in in another place different from the addressreserved. The personel didn't speak english or french. Nobody can giveus advise for visit the city.the hotel is an university residence so thequality is so poor.the hotel staff.
