Great location in Madrid. Very central so we walked everywhere from Puerto Del Sol.. Lots of shops nearby, restaurants, bars etc. and metro station is a stones throw away. Apartment was very clean , bedrooms were nice and sofabed was fine. Armando was very friendly and helpful on arrival and also allowed us to check out and leave our baggage in the building (locked) until our flight home. Called us a taxi and sorted that out which would have been hard on the day we left due to protests in Puert.
all reviews » Perfect location! So close to a Metro, Sol, a few stops to Atoche Renfe if you need to get a train. In the heart of the city so you can walk to almost everything from here. Armando is not warm and fuzzy and really does not speak any English, however, he did let us store our luggage for free since we arrived early in the day. He met us later in the day to check in and we could communicate with gestures and a few words. The apartment is clean and comfortable. Could use more blankets. Does not hav. Location was excellent, right in the heart of the city, directly opposite the main plaza. Staff were very very helpful although only able to speak Spanish. Any English requests we made via email/text and were responded to quickly. Facilities were top notch, would stay here again and reccommend to other couples wanting to stay central. - clean and comfortable - top quality kitchen appliances, all new and perfectly functional - nice, pretty, and soothing deco - excellent communication and coordination with managers - location overlooking Plaza del Sol - proximity to shopping - double-glazed windows - sunny and light in sitting room. The apartment is right in the heart of Madrid and had everything we needed including washing powder. We were met at the door at the designated time with no waiting around. Great size for 2 and would be fine for 4 with the lounge converting to a dogs bed. Very clean and well equipped. Modern and fresh design. Located in the heart of the city at a reasonable price. In the apartament you don't hear any noice. It is really quiete and you are in the center! Unique!!. Near the Metrostation , just near the city center. Only thing was hot water ran out quickly in the day time when all 3 of us showered back to back. In the morining it was ok though. One set of keys only ( but again wasnt such a hassle). Luckily one of us spoke Spanish well so communcation was not a problem, but if you dont speak a word of Spanish i suggest downloading a Spanish translator on your phone so you can ask the simple questions like, check out time,booking taxi , leaving luggage etc. That Armando spoke no English. That the key to the outside door did not consistantly work. Even when he gave us a different key, this one was very finicky also. People hang around the front door quite a bit and it is a very busy, nosy area of the city. That being said, it was pretty quiet in the hotel and there are plenty of people and police around so that we felt very safe. The apartment faced an inner space where we were facing other apartments, therefore we had to keep the blinds down at all times. Also, the noise coming from the other rooms was pretty loud, we were easily able to listen to other conversations and while it didn't bother us very much, it was a nuisance. - noise from Plaza del Sol (despite double-paned windows) can be loud late at night, in the sitting room (no problem in bedroom). There was no English speaking station on TV. Internet was not reliable. Pull out sofa bed was very uncomfortable. A reminder to fellow travelers: you are a guest in Spain and it is unfair to expect the manager to speak your language (English). Also, be prepared with cash for the security deposit, allow time for checkout to get the deposit returned. There is no lift at the ground floor but it is only a short walk up to the first floor for the lift and it wasn't really a problem. They have queen size bed instead of king size one. nothing. None. nothing. - check out at 11am. (they offer to keep the luggage). - only spanish TV channels. No en-suite. no bath only a shower. No reception, no english speaker. To use elevator you've to go up half floor, many doors to get to apartment. Owners speak no English so very difficult to communicate. Would have been nice to have directions on how to use the washing machine and the dishwasher. Didn't like that the security deposit had to be done in cash, though I knew that going in. Would have prefered to do it via credit card. difficult communication they dont speak english,very unconfortable beds. Owner don't talk English.
