staff. Staff on site does not speak english but reception that was
called on the phone does speak english. Very quiet studio in the back
courtyard. Shopping groveries, banking etc. directly in front the
studio. Free service to leave baggage with reception at Plaza Mayor was

I was en route back home to Pamplona via train, so the proximity to Ayoxha was ideal. All I wanted was a clean, safe place to stay and where I could take a long shower after traveling all day from Reykjavik. Chic & Basic delivered that and more. Pleasant staff, super cute room and I checked out the roof terrace which looked divino. It was nice

Pretty much everything! It was very clean, fresh, and bright. The
atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We were extra thrilled about the
cold water, ice, tea, coffee, fruit and crackers in the lobby. The cold
water was a God send after adventuring around the city for the day! The
location was wonderful. We walked everywhere around the city, and took
the train from Atocha to Toldeo and the airport and also in from
Barcelona - it was so easy!

The man who worked at the reception (Hose) was wery nice, serviceable and kind. He was always ready to help us find whatever we were looking for in Madrid. Our room was seamlessly clean with clean towels every morning. Wifi works great BUT the password is red

The staff at Numancia, especially the man on the front desk the majority of the time are excellent. All our needs were met and any requests were willing to be accommodated including leaving our luggage there for a whole day (as our train trip was at night). We were even allowed to hang out at the hostel and use the wifi and bathrooms! -
