  The location was perfect in Barri Gothic on a plaza next to the Santa Maria Del Pi church, with many restaurants, cafes, and shops seconds away from the front door. Esp. On weekends it also was a central place for street performers, many excellent. We had a balcony overlooking the plaza, so had a front row seat to the people watching and goings-on... what people say » . Metro stop 2 minutes away, and it was no more than 15 minutes walk to anywhere in the Barri Gothic and El Born. The price point was excellent, and I - Location, location, location. As all the travel guides say, you must get one of the rooms with a tiny balcony overlooking the square. Fabulous ever changing show to watch from the room, not noisy during normal sleeping hours. In the heart of the old city, yet tucked away. We walked everywhere. Helpful, friendly, efficient staff. Great hot water.

  The location of the appartment was perfect - near to the metro station, to the center of the city, to the most of the museums. The kitchen is great, the appartment is big and nice. - There is loads of space in the flat, with the added bonus of 2 bathrooms and a washing machine.   The Catalonia Avinyo's staff called us a day ahead, informing that Catalonia Avinyo was fully booked so we were changed to another hotel in the same network called "Catalonia Port" and I really recommend this hotel!! Very new, very clean, very comfortable!! and it's near the port and Columbus Monument.   Excellent location! Quiet, clean, safe and a bargain for the area! The bathroom is very small, but was fine for us. Two doors down from the best and cheapest restaurant in Barcelona!!
