Placa Reial was a great buzzy place to be, but yet the double glazing ensured a good night's sleep in our rooms which overlooked it. The staff were excellent: helpful, knowledgeable, friendly. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. We loved the included minibar and breakfast, and the fruits etc provided fresh every day. Makes a big difference on a hot day. This is an excellent hotel, and will - I traveled with my two adult children (21 & 22) and we had two rooms. Location!!! Its on a quiet street just a few hundred yards from La Ramblas. It was a beautiful hotel right in the center of everything. The finishings were beautiful with a luxurious feel in the common areas as well as in the rooms. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. Nice big towels and very nice large bath sheets. Out of the 5 hotels we stayed at in Spain, this was our favorite.
