  The best possible location at a great price. 2 short blocks away from Plaza del Sol square and metro station. The street is very busy day and night and, although the room had two double-glazed windows, some noise could still be heard. Very clean, small bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. Every so often a rumble from the subway can be heard, but... what people say » once you know what it is you stop paying attention to it. Take some earplugs with you and forget about the noise. Excellent budget hostel. - Excellent location - just two steps from Arenal street and two minutes from Sol. Nevertheless very quiet. The room is small, but very clear. English-speaking and helpful staff. Great value for money, good choice for the city visit.

  In early Aug 2013, it was very hot in Madrid. I arrived to find there was no aircon in any room due to a generator failure. Too tired to relocate I stayed anyway. It was a very hot and uncomfortable night. The following day, management were quick to apologize, gave the first night free and upgraded my status to include b'fast for all 3 mornings of... what people say » my stay. Bravo! If this is an indication of Eurostar policy, I am impressed. - Hotel is renovated and is very trendy, our room was good and clean. Cleaning was done well. We had no problems at all. We didn't take breakfast so cannot comment on it. It is well situated, with a tube stop just 3 minutes walk from the door. All major tourists sites are withing walking distance, Plaza del Sol only 5-7 mins away (Prado musem is about 15-20 minutes, so as Plaza Espania).

  Value for money; the room we had was very small but we spent most of our time discovering the city so that was enough for us. It is the very centre of Madrid, Metro stations & bus stops are nearby.
