  The location was excellent - within easy walking distance to central Madrid attractions - literally 5 minutes to the Prado. Also close to shops, a laundromat, restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the metro. The hosts didn't speak much English but were very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for something fancy, this isn't the place. However, if you want something comfortable at a great price, go for it. Another thing that I liked is that it was not corporate - it seemed to be a family-fun establishment. Lastly, free Wi-Fi that worked great the whole time.

I have paid five times the amount I did and received less comfort, hospitality and customer service. Many thanks for a great weekend. - The location is great. Nearby the metro station and it's possible to walk to all the things you want to see. Nearby a square with lots of restaurants. Because the plane would leave in the evening and there were no gasts after us, we could stay in the appartment untill we had to leave for the airport with no extra charge. The check-in manager was very kind and helpfull. The appartment and the beds were good.

  It was perfect stay. Apartment is centrally located (easy to reach historic centre and all 3 museums), it is very spacious and well-furnitured with intersting design. Staff was friendly - they called us in the morning on the arrival day and met at the apartment building.   Hostal Edreira was very clean. Our room was spacious but set up awkwardly. the bed was in front of the closet so you couldn't open the door easily. The staff was very friendly and nice although they weren't always easily available. It was a great location in easy walking distance of all the major sights in Madrid. The air conditioning worked ... what people say » great. - I stayed at this hostel for 2 nights and have to say I quite enjoyed my stay. The room was neat with AC and TV. The bathroom and toilet facilities were clean and tidy. The hostel was just next to the metro and was very convenient. Staff very friendly and helpful. Yes they do speak english. Good value for the price.
