Pickpocketed on way to hotel on metro so no cash at all. Staff at hotel very helpful even with limited english! They phoned police and they allowed us to use hotel phone to contact home for money transfer. Great breakfast and coffee facilities - very central. cool concept. highly recommended.

Room was so clean, sheets fresh and crisp, so quiet, family run hostal,
everyone including the parents pleasant and lovely. The two brothers do
a marvelous job. Our train back to Barna was not til 530 so they kept
our bags after we checked out at 9 am until about 4 when we started for

Excellent location and great value for the money. If you're looking for something fancy, this isn't the place. However, if you want something comfortable at a great price, go for it. Another thing that I liked is that it was not corporate - it seemed to be a family-fun establishment. Lastly, free Wi-Fi that worked great the whole time.

The staff were super nice. Breakfast was till 11am (super late compared to other places) and was simple but fresh and delicious. The room was more than we had hoped for. We asked for a room with a balcony and thats exactly what we got. Great location and just a really nice place to come to at the end of a long day sightseeing.

The location of this hostel was perfect for those wanting easy walking access to the three big art galleries in Madrid and the gorgeous city park. Good restaurants just across the street. We are 70 and had to walk up one flight of stairs only. The manager got our bags and was so helpful. Our own bathroom, very quiet and safe area. Not luxury, but very adequate and so inexpensive...we stayed two nights before our tour of Spain started and would stay here again for longer!

Superb location in beautiful side-street within easy walking distance of all the major sights. It was lovely to feel that we were in the heart of Madrid. The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave us a warm welcome even though we arrived very late after a delayed flight. Room very comfortable. There was some noise on Friday and Saturday nights from people in the street but no traffic noise.

Hotel staff spoke very good English, and they were very pleasant. It
was very quiet inside all the hallways and doors, so I knew I would be
able to sleep well. Safe. We had a key to get into the building later
in the evening. The evening staff worked very hard to print out a
ticket for us. He was very kind to do so. Polite, honest, hard working.
The mini frig was a wonderful item, as was the hairdryer. I would
gladly recommend the Hostal, especially if you want to be in the center
of Madrid.

stations. When checking in I got keys to the room and front door, which
was very convinient, because in other hostels sometimes you dont get the
keys and have to leave them at the reception desk every time you get out
