Charming old building very well maintained. Beautiful interior made you feel like you were paying a visit to a time long ago.Beautiful floor to cieling windows at least twelve feet tall in the breakfast room allowed you to see a large part of the city. The antique elevator adds great charm, since the cielings are so tall its a long climb up or down the stairs so the elevator is apprteciated and fun to ride. Overall a great place to stay. It is only a 15 minute walk from Las Ramblas and many other major atttractions, but is in a nice quiet location. It is also only a few minutes walk to the nearest Metro stations, which provide easy access across Barcelona. The room was fairly small, but was well decorated; was lovely and clean; and was quiet. It also had a nice balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful and offered good sightseeing tips.

Very friendly and helpful host, he will give you a city map and give you advices when you first arrived. There is no ensuite room but shared toilet is very clean, and there are 2 toilets in each floor so you may not even have to share with anyone else. There is hair dryer as well.

The hostal is a very nice apartment (or two joint apartments) on the 3rd floor of a beautiful modernist house, with these old-style elements like shutters, tiled floor, wicker sofa, and separate taps for cold and hot water, and our room had a beautiful little balcony with forged railings.

The entire hostal has great design features and the owners knew what vintage furniture pieces to ad in order to preserve its wonderful architecture. I especially loved the strained-glass windows and the original tiles in all rooms. My room was spaceous, with a great street view from the small balcony. The location is perfect: 5 minutes walk to Paseig de Gracia and another 5 minutes to Placa de Catalunya (also, metro stations and bus stations are very close). The owners are really nice and ready

Terrific location for first visit to Barcelona - walked everywhere. Excellent building with elevator. Kitchen open all day for easy access to refrig, coffee, etc. -
I loved the fact that the breakfast was laid out in a kitchen that was open to all guests all day. It made it feel as though you were staying in a home.
