  Great place. Alfonso was the lovliest man, & a good looker in his day as was his sister. They were lovely. Beautiful old building, very chicly decorated. Loved it. They didn't have our booking recorded but it was no problem for Alfonso. - You feel that you are actually living in Barcelona, it is a nice flat.

  This is by far the best hostel I've stayed at. The price is just ridiculously good for such a great hostel. The Wi-fi is the fastest I've ever had while traveling and the place is really clean and fresh. Having opened only two weeks before I went there might have helped but I'm hoping they will keep it clean. They have an amazing and open kitchen ... what people say » and common area and and it's easy to meet people! The whole place just feels very open and airy. At this price, it's very hard not to reccommend it an - Everything is great about this hostel! I was planning to stay there for one-two nights but stayed for 4, as I had everything I wanted there. Great staff. Very clean beds (cleaner that in the previous 4 star hotel I've stayed in). Clean toilets and showers and common areas. Very safe, as near each bed there is a safe locked-only-by-your-card box. Small lights near each bed makes it easy to read at night and at the same time you don't disturb the others.   From the minute you enter the hotel you already feel something is different. Then, when you get to your room you understand how different it is. The lobby includes the front desk with staff that was always willing to help and give useful advice. We loved the Carrot cake! The standard room is divided into two separate ar - There are only 25 rooms in this hotel, so the service was superb. We were addressed on a first-name basis by the staff (great job Javier, Wim, and Ignacio!) We felt extremely welcome and appreciated. The location was unbeatable - 2 minutes to Las Ramblas and Placa Catalunya. Rooms were comfortable, efficient, and sleekly designed - and the extra "salon" was a bonus. We also enjoyed the 24-hour complimentary cafe and the personalized breakfast.
