all reviews » Perfect location and good room. I parked in the Mezquita parking which was cheaper and meant I didn't have to drive into the Jewish quarter. If you want to use the parking of the hotel, I suggest to keep your car outside the Jewish quarter close to the Alcazar/ Calle Dr. Fleming, walk a few meters and await the instructions of the hotel before driving into the small streets. The entrance is 'blocked by a rope, however this seems to be meant to keep tourists out of the çourtyard. I did not have . A wonderful hotel in a fantastic old building. The rooms are kept in historic style and are very well equipped and in good condition. Friendly staff. The atmosphere in the old building(s) with its courty yards is very nice. You can drop the car for valet parking right infront of the door or parking in public garage right around the corner. In the evening they dropped of fruits and sweets in the room, so that there was a nice welcome when we came back from exploring the city. Great!. I’m impressed with the beauty of this small gem. What a nice hotel! On top of that, very well located! We booked our room without breakfast included, so I cannot speak for the quality of food there. The staff was always friendly. We arrived in Cordoba around 9:00 am from Sevilla. Now, I think the check in time starts after 12 pm, but they still allowed us in to our room. That’s a nice gesture of hospitality! I truly recommend this hotel!. Fantastic first impressions because of the position in the old town and the style of the building. Our room was large, well furnished, big bed and very comfortable. Very good bathroom. If we had not been staying there we would have really wanted to look around - it was beautiful. There is a long walk to the basement breakfast room which we had difficulty finding. The breakfast was good and served by exceptionally profession staff. The hotel is situated around different courtyards and is very pretty. Its right in the middle of the main sites so its very easy to walke verywhere you need to. We also walked from the station which took about 20 mins. Our room (12) was very comfortable with a spa bath, separate shower, dressing gowns etc. The staff wer extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. All in all a perfect destination for a short break. Like their sister hotel in Sevilla this hotel captures the charm and romance of old Cordoba while never giving up on comfort and luxury. I liked everything and would return any time. Nothing. The staff is not very personable and front desk did not go out of their way to be friendly or helpful. On our last day there was no hot water (not just in our room but the entire hotel) and this was not fixed at the time we checked out and the front desk was not at all apologetic. That was disappointing for such a nice hotel. Also, no wifi in the room, only in public areas which was not a big deal. As a result of roadworks finding the place by car was a bit of a nightmare. Not enough signage to the hotel it is extremely difficult to get to, ended up getting in a taxi and my husband following after driving round in circles for an hour !. The room needed more light. Parking in the old part of Cordoba can be a challenge - always worth looking on the other side of the river which is easily accessible on foot across the Roman Bridge. Not the fault of the Hotel, but if you are relying on GPS to get there definitely approach from the South across the main bridge - I came from the North and lost a wing mirror scraping through really narrow roads. It is a good breakfast but is any breakfast worth 19€? It is on a street which is for taxis only and our GPS(Tom Tom) would not accept it as a destination.You need to head for the Mesquita car park in Doctor Fleming street. The hotel is in the street immediately behind it, where the horse drawn carriages wait. We had dinner at the restaurant one night, although its in the Michelin guide it was nothing amazing considering it was quite expensive compared to what you get elsewhere. Room was not well maintained - no light in wardrobe, shower door seal hanging off, bedside light not working as examples. Breakfast was a cold buffet and very expensive at 19 euros per person. It was difficult to find. Very narrow streets to drive the car through. Would have been nice if we had been told that we needed to book earlier to dine outdoors in the hotel. By the time we arrived it was too late. Hotel was laid-out a bit disjointly, so not the cozy corners we experienced in the same chain in Sevilla. Some of the front desk staff were not especially well-informed (i.e. helpful) though others were excellent. Price of breakfast a bit steep at 19 Euros. A poor selection (2) of hot (actually barely warm) breakfast items. This is the only negative against the hotel which is otherwise spendid. We were too tired from visiting the city to enjoy the patio. They do not have a hotel lounge. Found nothing to be displeased with. The TV very difficult to operate. Terrible smell from the river. I found the bedroom decor rather over the top. Neat Place!. The breakfast could be more interesting with the better choice of food. The pool was quite small considering the size of the hotel. There was not much information on the restaurant and bar opening times and menus. Breakfast was 19 euro a person. Breakfast very expensive at 19 euros per person so we ate outside in one of the many cafeterias available in the vicinity. Dinner at the restaurant is expensive. Eat out. To find the car by car is extremely diificult. The hotel should recommend their guest to aim for the large parkinghouse only 50 meters from hotel. Breakfast is extremely overprized. Go for breakfast in the old town. The dinner in the hotel was good - but not excellent. The "little things" were slightly off: no towels in the lobby restroom; a beautiful restroom in the room, but with an uncurtained window that people in the building across the street could look in through; no place to hang a towel close to the shower; etc. It's ALMOST terrific, but just misses the mark. Still, I loved it. lack of bar facilities no wifi in rooms. Very difficult to park nearby. Valet parking is expensive at € 19 per night. The only minor problem wax the shower flooded the bathroom!!.
