The hotel has a superb location, close to the principal historic sites and good restaurants, taperías, bars, and stores. My room had a terrific view of the cathedral, the river and the promenade alongside, and the sculpted main gate into the cathedral square. The facilities are very modern and comfortable, even though my room would have to be described as "compact." The reception staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. The buffet breakfast is decent. And the price is right.
all reviews » Enjoyed our stay at Hotel Via Gotica, perfect position for visiting Burgos town. Excellent little coffee shop attached to the Hotel and a long stay car park is just across the road. Rooms were very well equipped, lovely modern bathroom. Would definitely stay here again. Hotel was great value for money very comfortable excellent location breakfast very nice and staff very friendly although we only stayed for 1 night I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to go back and stay a little longer. A lot of flies with no covers on the breakfast food. Coffee from nescafe machine. No direct access from parking to hotel and no drop off area could be a problem for anyone with limited movement. nothing. Was a little more expensive than similar hotels but probably worth it. That we had to pay eur30 more for a triple room when we only booked a twin. International guests really need regular bread for breakfast and get rid of the Nescafe machine and serve the real good Spanisch coffe. Room walls were quite "thin". parking, kleine ontbijtruimte, kwaliteit ontbijt. Not being able to see the sign on the hotel while driving along the road. Because of too good location , sometimes a bit noisy. Nothing. nothing. No parking in the hotel. The bathroom is basically a glass cube installed right into the room. And thought the glass is actually non-transparent THE DOOR DOES NOT SHUT and there's always a gap between the door and the doorway. I really do know very few people who can stand such level of privacy. The air conditioning is centrally controlled and the room was uncomfortably warm at night. We had the attic room which made the problem worse. Shouldn't be a problem in cooler months. We weren.
